Debt is still debt, regardless of it's technical classification?

69 Million POUNDS in interest, that's f*cking incredible...
LOL

Educate 10 so called "Man U fans" in one sentence.

It's f**king debt that is accounting against the club.

Bayern Munich make 300m a year which is 100% profit and is paid back to NOBODY. Comparison.

Well put

Much is made of Chelsea's 'debt' (which is mostly to their owner in equity), but their yearly interest bill is only 2 million quid

Compare to Man U and Liverpool who have to pay 69 mil and 35 mil to the bank before they even think about paying to keep the lights on

If Liverpool keep making losses, they're going to be in very deep sh*t very quickly...

All that profit and still can't win the league!! Thats bad.
Also, no they didn't make that much money. Not even close, maybe gross income, but not profit.

and "supposed" united fans? What would you know about who or why i support them. I'll just assume your a lifetime Bayern supporter from Munich then..

Someone said mufc were in debt, i corrected them. the debt is held against the assets and red holdings NOT mufc which is very solvent.

Oh and if Roman leaves Chelsea he can call that debt in thats why he loaned it to the club not gave it them, if chelsea can't pay it back that loan within i think one month, they are in real trouble so don't get to cocky.

Kaka passes medical to close in on 56m move from AC Milan to Real Madrid
Kaka is understood to have passed his medical and should complete his £56million move from AC Milan to Real Madrid this evening.

Madrid doctor Juan Carlos Hernandez and a club lawyer arrived yesterdaywith a contract in Recife, where the playmaker is based with the Brazilnational team.

There were preliminary tests last night before the 27-year-old was this morning put through a more thorough medical at two separate clinics this morning.

The playmaker left the Brazil team hotel - the five-star Hotel Atlante Plaza - in Recife at 9am (local time) with his father Bosco Leite, who also acts has his agent, after theBrazilian federation (CBF) sanctioned the tests.

Hernandez and Brazil team doctor Jose Luiz Runco - plus three moreMadrid officials - attended procedures carried out in the two clinics, both in the Ilha do Leite district of Recife.

Some of the tests were carried out local orthopedic specialist Romeu Krause at his Clinica IPORK.

Hetold Brazilian website Globoesporte.com: 'I am a friend of Runco and hecame to do an overall assessment of Kaka. The Spanish colleagues werehere to record the tests and forward to Spain.'

Milan admit lure of Chelsea cash may prove too muchHughes' £250m kitty: Manchester City boss targets Eto'o, Henry and Kaka It is reported that an entire floor at the next venue - the Clinica Esperanca - was reserved to avoid infiltration from a large number of fans who had got wind of the tests.

Kaka was then returning to the team hotel in the picturesque Reciferesort of Praia de Boa Viagem to study the contract. The Madriddelegation are staying close by.

Two cars took Kaka and the delegation to the clinics. Jose Alcides,51, drove three Real Madrid representatives: one medic and twoadministrative staff. In the other car, driven by 50-year-old Fabio Menezes, was Dr Runco, Dr Hernandez, Kaka and his father.

Alcides said: 'I never imagined that would take somebody of Real here. I am very proud.'

The CBF confirmed the procedures. A statement read: 'The technical commission of the Brazilian national team assisted in the request of Kaka and of Real Madrid's management and released the player to carry out routine exams in a clinic of Recife.

'It fell to CBF to arrange the logistics for the examination, through its head of the medical department, Jose Luiz Runco, who accompanied the player.'

Kaka is set to give a press conference as soon as Milan confirm the transfer, which Italian sources indicate could be at 7pm local time (11pm UK).

Kaka scored a penalty in Brazil's 4-0 demolition of Uruguay onSaturday night - his country's first competitive victory in Montevideo- which put them top of the South American World Cup qualifying sectiongoing into Wednesday's home match against Paraguay.

Kaka would talk only about the match afterwards, but said: 'I'll talk soon about my future.'

Relaxed: Kaka trains with Brazil team-mate Robinho last week
The former Sao Paulo player, previously a target for Chelsea and Manchester City, will not be unveiled at the Bernabeu until the end of the month, after Brazil's participation at the Confederations Cup in South Africa.

Spanish media report he will be shown off in the Spanish capital on June 30.

Sensational reports in Madrid newspaper Marca - given little credence by our sources - today suggested Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin had personally intervened to try to change the course of the transfer.

It was reported that Putin called Berlusconi to try to get Milan to sell the player to Chelsea, owned, of course, by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Loans i believe. That and the government.

David Villa, Frank Ribery and of course Ronaldo are the other limked players.

Will prob get Villa, may get Ribery, i doubt they will get Ronaldo.

What they need of course is a defence!! :)

Perez historically has paid very little attention to defence and paying big money for defensive players is something he's never done before. Makes you wonder if the man really understands the game of football or is he just a rich merkin with money to throw around

It's fun though, I hope they get Ronaldo and maybe one other big star, let's say Ibrahimovic. Then Barca can get Ribery, who's the best fit for them imo, and it'll be just ridiculous.
