Not necessarily.. It will depend on a number of factors, most of which I won't go into.. But I will say this:

Florentino has come into office with a goal in mind: to restore Real Madrid at the pinnacle of world football; in terms of prestige, having the best players, and wowing the football world with our football.

Secondary to this vision is the fact that the focus will undoubtedly be the Champions League final next year.. in none other than the Santiago Bernabeu.

So yes, the CL will undoubtedly be the focus this season, but that is not to say that there will be zero attention paid to the domestic season/cup. Pellegrini's stay will depend on the style of football he is able to conjure out of the squad, as well as - obviously - results.

The expectation is there to win the CL HOWEVER rest assured.. Pellegrini will not be sacked if we bow out in the Semis to a top tier team on penalties (for example). He will however be shown the door should we be dumped out 4-0 on aggregate at the L16/QF stage and if there is obviously no footballing system in place that has the potential to bring silverware.. It's simply a matter of expectation at this level.. and rightly so.

N.B. Whether or not all the managers that have been sacked since Del Bosque's lack of contract renewal by Perez (DB was not sacked by the true definition of the word) is a matter for separate discussion..

Perez's chief goal, both the first time around, and I believe this time as well, is to generate the most revenue for the club.

Don't kid yourself if you don't think the primary objective of the Galacticos concept is not to add to the Real Madrid brand from a marketing perspective so that the club can generate the most income and enhance its brand name recognition on a global scale.

Football greatness is second on the agenda. There is a reason why world class defensive players were never purchased, quite the contrary, players like Makalele were forced out.

The Galacticos concept worked pretty well from an economic perspective, and i have no doubt it will do so this time as well.

Perez wants to win the champs league and domestic league double. He will sack any manager that fails.

Forget systems, or when there knocked out. None of that is important.

Pellegrini will have to make a team that was built to sell merchendise work on a football pitch.

He will be gone by next summer. Wenger will replace him.

he's 21 and is so awesome that he played out of position to accomodate the great gabi heinze

This would have more to do with the fact that there was an incredible lack of depth on the flanks, injuries to key players, the poor form of others, and the fact that Marcelo is an excellent attacking player all things considered. You are right about his age though - mixed him up with one of the boys from the cantera.

Heinze will not be at the club next season.

Carles Puyol and Dani Alves are 2 of the best players in the world in their respective positions. Gerard Pique looks set to have a long future for the Spanish national team and Milito, Caceres, Abidal (even though he's sh*t) and Marquez are 1st choice for their countries when fit. Real currently boasts the awesomeness of Gabriel Heinze, Pepe and Christoph Metzelder but not much else besides that.

Sergio Ramos is better than Alves

its lovely the extent of your come backs are usually of a Fifth grader standard.

Ramos is good attacking but he is useless against world class attackers his def and anticipation is horrible if perez wants a RB who can become world class then he should sign Rafinha from Schalke, Then Sign Raul Albiol from Valencia then if they all gel they will be almost unbeatable

Ah yes, one game. That certainly is a true indicator, isn't it?
Henry absolutely tore him a new one in that game, so much so I'm pretty sure he got subbed. If you remember back a few years Ronnie made him look like a schoolboy in the corresponding fixture. Whilst Ramos is good going forward his defending leaves alot to be desired. Dani Alves is IMO a more dangerous player especially with his shooting from long range
