(a) Coming into the NRL without a preseason is pretty tough going.
(b) His age
(c) Does not rely on strength to beat a man
(d) Going into a disaster zone of a team where a lot of players are either incompentent or don't give a f**k.
(e) Has not played a lot over the last two years due to injury

Odds are stacked against him bigtime.

If he flops I'd say Sarginson would be a better comparison. Turner was pretty average before he tried NRL, has never been selected for England.

Alright maybe not a flop but very overrated in my opinion. He scored a few tries, but his defensive positioning was suspect.

Greg Eden is probably a better example along with Tomkins, Sarginson, etc
