Happy for the Morris brothers but what on earth is Gildey doing at fullback. Surely Hayne who was the in form fullback should get a go there.

Who do they play on the wing if they are resting Slater?

Hayne is the only option which leaves Gidley as the only other specialist fullback.

Jennings with Lewis in the centres...... but then as Gidley is such a fantastic utility shouldn't he be able to play there?

Obviously if this was the final and Slater was injured hayne would play 1 (you would hope).

But I can understand them thinking that Hayne needs some time at right wing on the basis he has never played there and will continue there for the rest of the tournament.

Could also be useful for him to find some form before going back to catching a cold outside Hodges......

The only good thing about this side is that Michael Jennings will actually pass the ball to Jarryd Hayne and give him a shot at having a decent game. There's absolutely no way that Kurt Gidley should have been picked ahead of Jarryd Hayne at fullback though.

Tim Sheens has sabotaged Jarryd Hayne this series. He has him playing on the wrong side of the field outside of an overrated centre that refuses to pass the ball. Now he doesn't picked the Dally M player of the year ahead of the worlds worst utility when he rests Billy Slater.

Glad to see Gids gets a well-earnt spot at fullback. Not too sure what the fuss is all about.

It slighty irritates me that Gidley is gonna have so many rep games under his belt when there are so many better, more deserving players.

 @ all the people who still think hodges is the reason we havent seen hayne. the ball hasnt gone to the right in the two games played. doesnt matter who's inside hayne if the ball doent get to the centre it aint gonna get to the wing ffs

i dont have a problem with the team except for gidley at fullback. id be putting hayne there and getting him into some form and sticking gidley onto the wing

If these stats are to be believed, Hodges (24 receives) and Hayne (15) had the ball more than Inglis (15) and Morris (8). That would also indicate that the problem wasn't Hodges, it was that Hayne just didn't do alot when he got the ball.
