Looking really different to recent years that's for sure.

Happy for Uate :D

The centre/winger combos doesn't really look all that great. The bench also looks rather weak (Cronk is a pretty bad bench player IMO).

My biggest concern is the second row. They're all pretty bad defenders, in fact they're some of the worst in the NRL. I guess maybe they're going for mobility and it could work but i think that line-up could back fire badly as well.

Is Willie Tonga and Chris Lawrence really the best centre combo Australia has? f**k me dead.

If I was Blake Aysford I'd be gutted.

Not sold on that side but the back 3 are probably the 3 most dangerous men in the Aussie side. Our kick returns will be very good and any space out wide will be taken advantage of.

Oh and Ayshford is well down the pecking order. With Inglis, Hodges, Hayne, Lyon and Hoppa all unavailable the 2 selected are the best of what is left.

With Tim Sheens in charge I think he is pretty high up.

How else would Keefy get a start

Would rather see Keefy on with Scott and Gal on with Shillo

Dont like the Scott Gall, Keefy Shillo as it appears.

Hey, when did Tonga join the squad?

Manly fullback Brett Stewart has withdrawn from the Kangaroos squad for the upcoming Four Nations series in England due to injury.

The 26-year-old joins his brother, Glenn, who withdrew earlier this week due to personal reasons, on the sidelines for the tournament. Willie Tonga has been named as his replacement.
Stewart was facing a battle with Darius Boyd to be the deputy to Billy Slater, but a long-standing knee problem that's plagued him during the season has ruled him out of a first Kangaroos' tour.
Meanwhile, Greg Inglis has failed in his bid to face New Zealand in next Sunday's one-off Test at Newcastle after succumbing to an ankle injury.
Inglis's place on the Four Nations tour later this month is now in doubt, with Parramatta-bound Willie Tonga called into the squad and straight into the team where he'll line up at centre alongside Chris Lawrence.
Inglis will be given time to prove his fitness before the team leaves for London on October 21 but he's still feeling the effects of the injury he sustained in round 25 against Brisbane.
Departing St George Illawarra fullback Boyd has been picked ahead of Brisbane's Jharal Yow Yeh to partner Newcastle's Akuila Uate on the wings.
Cronulla enforcer Paul Gallen will partner North Queensland co-captain Matt Scott in the front row, with coach Tim Sheens employing the same tactics as NSW mentor Ricky Stuart by picking the regular lock forward at prop.
Manly's Anthony Watmough will pack down at lock, with Broncos backrower Sam Thaiday and Penrith's Luke Lewis filling the second row spots.
Retiring great Darren Lockyer will play his last game on Australian soil as captain, partnering Johnathan Thurston in the halves.
Debutant forwards Keith Galloway and Tony Williams headline a sizeable bench, which also includes Canberra's David Shillington, as well as Melbourne utility Cooper Cronk.

That team is too old, banged up and out of position for my liking.

Australia are very vunerable during this 4N - I recon more so than last years 4N or the 2008 WC.

Thats the weakest Aussie team I've seen in years. Think the tides turning, the Kiwi team on paper should look at least on par with this side. The Junior Kiwis look to dominate the the Junior Roos big time!

It's really worrying me. I think our choice of coaches as well as who ever helps pick the teams is running us into the ground. We need a coach like Mal where hard work and consistency is rewarded with loyalty. I'm sick of seeing grand final players who had a good little spirt of form through the finals make the team over much more deserving players. It happens every year.
