I would have Watmong to 2nd row drop Lewis and have Parker starting lock. And how shillo gets a start Ill never know. The 5 games he played this year weren't his best..............
Lewis was one of Australia's best at the 4nations in 2009, he always performs well. Watmough should be bench.

The centre pairing is pretty sh*thouse.... and the bench looks a bit weak for mine. But other then that it's a pretty strong side IMO.

Gallen in the front row was amazing for NSW and there's no reason to think he couldn't do the same for NSW. His game is just so much better suited to playing in the front row... he gets through a mountain of work and is probably even more effective when he just needs to bash it up into the big boys and not cause damage out wide.

Still a reasonably strong team that is. Looks good in all areas apart from the bench. Only god knows why Tony Williams and Keith Galloway were selected, well we know why Galloway was, Sheens. Australia still have a better backline than us Kiwis. The Kiwis back line actually looks fairly weak with quite a few out.

Galloway was EASILY the Tigers best forward this season (and many Tigers fans are of the opinion he was our best player, even ahead of Benji), especially in our 9 game winning streak. He was also one of our best last year, when we also finished in the top 4. But yes, he's only selected because of Sheens.

Galloway steam rolled his competition through the finals series and it is an ideal game to blood him as it is a lead in with no real significance in the great scheme of things. Shillington is the suprise selection for mine as his form wasn't that great in his limited minutes in 2011.

Lawrence in form deserves his spot but it is hard to gauge because he has played so little this season

That's a very good looking side. I'm surprised DCE didn't get a run since it's a friendly game.

I agree but I can see why they're playing JT. They'd be desperate for him to try and re-find some form leading into the proper stuff

Pretty sure this happened to dragons back in 92 or 93

Everyone expected Mick Potter (dual dally m winner) to be named fullback - but they ended up going for Brad Godden from Newcastle????wtf

I think Brad mackay was the only one.

It's 2 and both Stewarts have withdrawn. I'm sure Glenn would have been in the second row but on the positive side there are zero Dogs players.

Probably deserves the bench spot ahead of Cronk. They were never going to rob Lockyer and Thurston playing one last game together on home soil though.

Galloway was easily in the top 3 props this year, if anything he should be starting

farah is lucky to be picked ahead of balin imo

lawrence when fit is in the top 3 centers in the game along with inglis and hodges, just look at what he did to gasnier and lyon within a week of each other in rounds 21 & 22

I can't believe that either Uate or Vatuvei are considered the best wingers in the league, yet another position where no one seems to take defense into account (like fullback).

For mine it's Nightingale first and daylight second.

Both players are up there for different reasons. Flo for his reliability and guts, Aku for his speed and power. Depends on what you value in a winger really

Manu has too many errors in his game to be considered up there these days. His game in Rd1 of the finals was woeful

I love the Paul Gallen / Matt Scott front row combination. It hasn't even 7 days since the grand final and I'm missing league so much already. I can't wait for this game.
