I don't know how some merkins find time to have a life between watching the footy and posting on the Internet.

Great buy, but think this guy will be fairly high maintenance from the sounds of things, a little concerning.

You never can tell. Most of the lose canons mellow with age. Compared to Carney & co he's an angel.

getting the players player is much more prestigious than any other award but probably on par with the coach's award..

I'd like to see Galeforce's take on this..

does not surprise me , clearly he turned some games . I have always been a supporter of Sandow from start and have defended him against a lot of the cum lately parra fans in the past who now think he is kapow. My criticism since his signing with Eels has been one of VALUE. I have no issue with Souths not matching the eels offer for sandow , you have paid overs and this is where critic of his weakness comes to play. Good luck with him next year. I would assume his pay and now the $750k PA plus for the manly winger will provide plenty of disruption to team harmony .

Are still believing what rusty said on twitter ? Sounds like you are also believing the hype around Hoppa's salary too.

Back to Sandow, I have no doubt he will take some managing, but his positive impact on our team will be far more frequent that what Inglis provides to your club and he comes at a far cheaper price.

Also Hoppa played centre at State of Origin level, so you can call him a winger if you like, but we all know that there is more to his talents. ;-)

You Funny.
You really do doubt that Sandow and Hoppa are joining Parra because they were not offered overs? very funny.
As for Inglis , yes he has had a disrupted season , however when he was on the field and fit post Origin we had some of best performances. Our season ended when he was injured against Brisbane , we were getting momentum even in that game and it ended when he was injured. We went to the knights game as losers , not to mention Sandow missing for two days. Go figure.

As for Hoppa ( out for two seasons with 1 hour exercise per day) costing more than Inglis . Go figure.

The issue i see from this is disharmony. you're best players , who ever they are will look at Sandow and think of hoppa's paycheck and will be pissed off if offerred less.

Hasler told Hopa that he wouldn't be at manly in 2014 and the team would look very different, so Hopa looked elsewhere.

Inglis on 600k with a 4m cap
Hopa on $500k ($400k + bonus for origin etc) under a potentially $7m cap

Inglis was a real bargain for Souths.

Galeforce you're a better spinner than Warne

Just unfortunate for Souths that due to the cap they had to lose Sandow. But that's what happens when you've has your time at the top. (Souths time at the top is 9th or 10th)

But Souths bad fortune is very good for us.

No doubt we paid a bullish figure to sign these two. You mentioned $750k for Hoppa which is just throwing darts at numbers. But of course you know that.

The general consensus from your Souths mob is that they wish that they matched the Eels offer to keep your Jack Rayner Award winner. So why all this negative talk about us paying overs ? Sour grapes maybe ?

Disharmony in 2014 ? Who will be at the Eels in 2014 anyway ? I don't think that even Hayne is contracted until after 2013. We might have an entirely new squad by then.

Are these the same Souffs fans that dribbled on that Sandow would never leave etc etc, and was a superstar in their colours

At least when Lyon up and left us, we knew that he was a decent player and would perform wherever he went, these fans are just trying to be narky to teams their players have gone to, pathetic at times but Souffs fans are quite dopey ( read their forum if you have any doubts)
