Kasey Badger to debut

Kasey Badger, wife of bearded Gavin, is set to debut as a referee in this weekends clash between the Tigers and Warriors. She will be the first woman to referee a first grade game.

This seems a forced and contrived attempt by the NRL to fit in with the politically correct feminist movement that puts women in particular roles due to quotas not talent. Anyone can see Kasey is not yet ready to referee a game. On the sidelines, she borders on timid and can often make the wrong call under pressure. No doubt in time she will come good and be ready, but that time is not now

I have also heard a few politically correct weirdos suggest that it's sexist she is reffing a dead rubber game. ANY male ref who debuts is not going to start reffing origin or the grand final. Just ridiculous.

I would love to see a woman referee a game of NRL, but not because of a quota, but because she deserves it.

She did a Knights game in the 20's earlier this year and was very good. Maintained control without talking down to the players. The bar is set pretty low anyway by the current breed of pink shirted poofs.
