Why the f**k would you ever feel sorry for someone employed to do a job only to fail and then be paid out nearly half a million?

You obviously know him better than I do, but I reckon some people actually give a damn about their professional reputation. I can only go on how I've observed him behave in public. I realise that behaving with a sense of dignity and grace is not 'cool' in today's world. (ok tomorrow he'll probably come out and moon the press conference or something). Again....no problem with the decision per se.

Interesting stuff.

Must say that i am another who is dissapointed, Kearney basically inherited a rabble of a club that has been f**ked over recently by bullshit internal politics, and bullshit management of the football club. You can all whine as much as you like about the team's performances under the coach, but most of it stems from poor leadership and management of the football club in general, mostly in the past 3 years.

To which we added a rookie coach to try and sort out. f**king genius.

I can only assume that we have a replacement lined up, given the timing. Frankly the only un-employed coach I would be happy with is Phil Gould. At least he would have the profile to be above the petty internal shit that sticks to our clubs profile like shit to a blanket.

But we all want instant gratifcation from our football on a weekend, to remind us that our lives aren't so boring afterall, because, HEY! at least Parra is winning!! And when Parra dont, we all get on an internet forum and bitch about it, and its sooo much easier to focus all that frustration on a select few figures because I know better and then I feel a bit better because I got it all off my chest and now I am righteous.

The Irony of it all is that Kearney, and Nolan, have done some great work in sorting out the next few seasons for the club and who ever is stepping into the job will reap the benefits.

That is all.

A few things:

1) A sincere thankyou to Mr. Kearney for his efforts. It was his first gig and he would have been so proud and so pumped to have come here. He would have had dreams of making this his club and having an illustrious career here.

I don't for a second doubt that he gave it everything he had, and for that I truly respect him and wish him well.

2) It's about damned time! Maybe he's a crap coach, maybe he just didn't fit us...I don't know. What I do know is that this year has been a write-off from the start and this is long overdue. We've gone backwards this year and we're a laughing stock, and this was with an improved roster. We've lost the chance to appoint a profile coach before the silly season started and we've paid for it.

This is long, long overdue and we'll feel the reprecussions of this delay into next year, as well.

***

But that's it folks, it's done. The likes of emjaycee and Suity will tell you that I have been a strong proponent of sacking Kearney all year. But that's it - it's over.

Let's stop bitching at each other and acting like children. Whoever the Hell gets the gig needs our full support and we need to support each other.

Onwards and upwards, fellow Eels!

I love you brother.

Well we've got seven weeks to see.

If we win two or more games that's a better record than Kearney's this year, with the same roster. If we win one or less that's worse than when Kearney was here.

Thanks Captain Obvious. Make sure now you start twisting shit and say how you wanted him gone all along.

Well I can well and truly agree with you.. Appointing a rookie coach was one of the dumbest things we have ever done. Not fair on the coach or the team or the fans.

Mate, you've got what you've wished for.
How about we all start pulling together as a club and fan base and start talking up a positive future?
Is tonight really the night for point scoring?

Sorry I have to a little, this prick has been getting on my nerves for months. He needs to be reminded. I wanted Kearney sacked after we lost to the Dogs the first time around. A little too late but yes I'm stoked.
