Despite suffering an ankle injury last night in the early minutes of the Sharks loss, fullback Brett Kearney has been named to take on the Titans, with fitness tests and physiotherapy treatments throughout the week to determine his availability.
The injury wasn’t as bad as first feared, with Sharks medical and coaching staff hopeful of having Kearney on the field for the Titans match.

scans cleared him of any breaks. But he had 120kg of hickey rolling around on him. He must have suffered something pretty painful. I can't imagine it would only be a 5 day injury.

any ideas of replacement shint?

guessing goodwin on wing brown fullback ?

Not as yet.
Hope it,s not Simmons. He has played some good footy on the wing. I think he's a first grader in that possie but nowhere else. Probably Brown. a sore foot replaced by a sore foot.

good call JC. Prince kicks high to wingers & grubbers for fullbacks & I think Misi could handle that better. Plus his metres from the back would be a real benefit.

My mail, just in, is that Kearney has a grade 2 ligament tear. That's not a pie in the sky injury. Besides, the club ALWAYS says that injuries aren't that bad. Look at Kearney's quad injury from last year.

Grade 2 ligament rupture is 3-6 weeks.

BTW thanks for the news shintaro

Well carch, people have played on worse injuries to be honest. An ankle is an easy thing to put a good solid strapping on and a few needles into. The downside is they don't get better running on them and you can do a lot more damage needled up because you don't always feel the any new damage.

The 3 weeks shintaro says will be on the money for now. That's a routine length of time to watch such an injury

An NRL player would play a GF with it I'm sure.

kind of injury not suited to a speed/explosive player.
hey Frenzy, apparently this was posted on another site 1.24 minutes before yours.

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?"
