So once again he did not take any responsibility for the loss. It all came down to those 3 errors at the start.

Look at the difference between the 2 coaches out there yesterday.
Toovey was furious with his side for not playing the full 80
Kearney was pleased with the lads for playing for the last 20 minutes
Which team won again?????

All I can say is this .... Brian smith. Brian can coach and that's what we need. A professional football coach.

of course we miss him, but success it is not a one man contribution either.

Try telling that to the 17 lazy bums who played forward somersaults on Brookie yesterday instead of footy.

If there's any doubt over whether Hayne should be captain next year I think it was just dispelled. Without him out there we look as limp and lifeless as [insert rude comment about Casper here]

mate while u can, bet against parra on multi's - easy money :)

Remember Avenger, their are some on the forum that want this dope retained

From memory Anderson was sacked for winning only 10 games in season 2010 which is still one more than Kearney has managed in over a season and a half.

I've got to the point where I don't care anymore. I don't even care if we win or lose. I don't care if Kearney stays or goes.

It used to piss me off when we lost Friday night games as my weekend would be ruined, but now the second full time is called i am over it. Maybe I should thank Kearney for that at least.

It's way overdue but it's time to sack him and install Brad Arthur as the interim coach whilst negotiating with potential coaches for next season. Arthur deserves a crack even for 8 weeks.

The problem is the damage has been done. We have a pack of forwards that looked to offload and pass and outside backs and halves that looked to play off the back of that (just like what the Bulldogs have now) but that was in 2009. Then in 2010 we tried again to play the high completion kick long grinding game and it didn't suit us. A few players from 2009 left and the coach was sacked. 2011 we get a new coach who surprise surprise wants us to play the grind to victory type of game, no offloads, hit ups and kick and we are still not suited because we don't have a playmaker that can take control of a game, we lose more players and even more games. 2012 we are a shell of that 2009 side now and showing promise again but still no one is hitting holes or running lines and the halfback we signed can't take control of a game.

We have still not learnt. This game isn't that hard to play but at the NRL level you need to be pro active with tactics not reactive. I am just saddened that we wasted an opportunity to be the trend setters and be frequent finalists in order to copy other teams.

The last two games have shown me that the coaching staff have realized this as well. We have a 7 who's role is to inject himself from time to time by running the ball and taking the tackle 5 kick option.

Lucky have Paulo, Kelly and Hayne to counter that.

Having said that, the Dogs seem to cope OK with a one dimensional 7 (KK) so maybe we need to mimic their style of play.

I suppose it comes down to expectations. I used to expect to win every game and every loss would piss me off.
Now?
I expect to lose every single game. Losses don't piss me off anymore. Wins are pleasant surprise, but I know a loss is an almost certainty the following week, which tempers the winning feeling. My expectations have greatly changed.
And I greatly fear the expectations of our players and coaching staff have likewise changed .. even if they say differently in public. That would be understandably though. When you have lost 90% of your games under the current coaching staff, why would you 'expect' to win.

the dogs are one dimensional, yes, but they have some incredible ball runners in the side and forward pack that are able to play before the line extremely well.

It's sad but true. Kearney's comments in post game press conferences make it look like he's happy if we're just in the game at some stage.
