Sunday at about 4pm Gareth.
No one will wait till Monday.

We are talking about Dragon supporters here buddy, revved up, passionate, hot under the collar supporters!

Shit we better win...or there will be an apocalypse.

I hope Mary's home address is not known.

Oops ! My mistake, I forgot its a 2 pm kick-off . Tis a pity that they don't have all the matches at that time , gives a chap the opportunity to have a few celebratory beers with the boys before heading off home at an respectable hour to kiss the missus goodnight .

Churchill would have happily sacrificed our troops after the fall of Singapore and had scant regard for us being under threat from Japan
Curtin’s Intervention and superior leadership prevented Churchill from making another blunder.

Your dead right there , we would had been nothing more than a sacrificial lamb to be slaughtered or more then likely put to work by the Japanese if they had overrun the country. As O.T. said Curtain intervention helped our country immensely , more so after the mistakes of ' Pig Iron Bob ' .

Curtin was great man who suffered his own demons and the tyranny of distance travelling from WA and being away from his family.
He forged a great bond with Mac Carthur which was crucial in light of a testy relationship with both FDR and Churchill.
Absolute tragedy he died just prior to victory being secured.
Undoubtedly one of Australia's truly great PM's

You have to include Woods, Tedesco and Cronk. They have not set the world on fire with their new clubs.
Then we look at Hunt and Graham. Their arrival has been priceless.
Hats off to Millward. But he needs to work his magic and get one maybe two forwards next season.
I don’t know whether anything will eventuate with that English forward that we were linked to a while ago

SOO time will show us the quality of our depth in the forwards and the halves. And in my opinion we have the dollars and the need for a qulity 4th prop for THIS season. We also need to tie up our 3rd prop Ah Mau. Judge Millward on his ability to retain Ah Mau and pick up a good prop this year. The funds have to be there given that Dugan and Thompson have not been replaced with players on similar coin. Replacements Aitken, Dufty and Sims already on contract.

I thought the same. But then I worked it out (not on paper i swear).

My father's sister's husband is my uncle. But his brother isn't (I think).
Chief "I missed by that much" of course you are correct I plumb forgot about that scenario.
Brothers and sisters have I none but this mans father is my fathers son.

Anyone see the interview today on foxsports where James Graham was saying that Mary was a big reason for him coming to the club? He said that Mary's enthusiasm was a big draw card and he feels that he can get the best out of him.

Here is hoping the great turnaround continues.
Onwards and upwards.

Mary is a likeable bloke.

The players love him.

His footy IQ is increasing slowly.

Still needs to better utilise his bench and pick players on consistency/form.

I would prefer a coach the players respect and fear, however if we finish top 4, I would be happy for him to continue his apprenticeship.

A 20 point win over the Storm and almost 30 over the Roosters is all I need to know that Mary has improved this year. Exactly the kind of game we lose comfortably in past years, yet somehow we are playing as a team who doesn't know what the word pressure means!

The team aren't getting ahead of themselves, the coach is expecting these wins and isn't even surprised by our 8-1 record, and every week we play like we've had a 2 week break.

It's obvious that Mary has improved as a coach and is listening to others advice from within. But the biggest difference in 2018 is the luxury of a real Halfback and a very experienced & respected leader upfront in Graham. Then Mary has also had the luxury of an injury free team to build consistency & combinations.
I will gauge his impact as a coach after Origin, when injuries & fatigue set in and his ability to show us all that he has learnt and improved when the going gets tough!!
It's a stand-by mode for me at present with this thread topic.

I can't believe the perception that the lack of injuries was handled so badly. Everyone thought it was terrific to have virtually the same 17 for so many rounds. However, the poor management of player minutes has come back to haunt the club in a big way - again!

It might seem a positive that players are able to play big minutes, but this is an obvious reason for the lethargic past few months. I'm astounded that the coach & HPU don't recognise this. The intensity from our forwards has virtually evaporated. They were overworked & once agin the performances reflect this.

The well known second half of the season collapses are just accepted as something that will happen.
