Something staggering happening at our club at the moment.
The bloke we've had at 7 for the past few years was a dinosaur - played a thousand games.
The bloke we have now has played 4.
Yet the new blokes kicking game is EVERYTHING the dinosaurs wasn't.
The new bloke kicks 40/20s.
The new bloke gets consistent repeat sets.
The new bloke gets try assists from his kicks.
The new bloke puts up a bomb that puts the fullback under enough pressure that he drops it.
Friggin' unbelievable the crap we have been forced to watch - and put up with - week after week for the past 5 years.
Porter's kicking game applys pressure and maintains that pressure for 80 minutes.
Pressure forces errors and errors win you footy games.
The kick in the 78 minute was case in point of this.
The Broncos game tonite was a one error after another - thus the big win.
When the dinosaur played the only pressure the opposition had applied to them came from our defence.
