I’m back for another blog and I have to say that it has been a pretty good week.
My shoulder is coming along well, and while I won’t be playing against the Tigers this weekend I am targeting next Monday night’s game against the Raiders as my comeback match. It will have been almost four weeks at that stage and I feel like my shoulder is up to the challenge.
One thing that doesn’t excite me all that much is that we will be playing yet another Monday night game. We have had more than our share of them this season, and I think the scheduling might need to be looked at.
I don’t know of any players that are a fan of the Monday night footy. You wait all weekend for the game and then have to back up reasonably quickly, and as the results show, teams very seldom win the week after a Monday night game.
We had a great win at the weekend. The boys showed a lot of heart to comeback the way they did and get another win at the Central Coast. It’s good to see that we are turning away games there into ones where we rarely lose.
I thought Bedsy was outstanding, although that is usually the case, he turns up every week and plays well for the Knights and you can’t ask for more than that. However another guy who played a great game was Luke Walsh. Luke was on debut and turned in a gun performance, he deserves a lot of credit. If you look at my MMS you can see him getting stitches.
The NSW team looks good again for Origin 2, given the selections I am not sure if I would have been retained for the second game, but I will do my best to be selected for the third game.
I know the boys will do well and I think that Greg Bird, Ryan Hoffman and Brett Kimmorley will all acquit themselves well. There has been some talk, that the Blues may be in trouble if Noddy or Mini get injured, but I am sure the coach will have a back up plan.
The boys have the Tigers this week, and it will be a hard slog. The Tigers have been one of the form teams in the comp, and despite copping a toweling from the Eels, they will provide a stiff test. They will miss Hodgo at the back though!
I’ve had a pretty busy week, rehabbing and training, but between that I have had a new housemate move in.
Chris Bailey who is best known as Phil’s little brother moved in during the week. He was forcibly removed from his previous premises due to construction work, and has been good company.
We have had the table tennis going non stop, and I’m happy to say I have been dominating, but Chris is learning a few things and starting to come good.
I spoke to my brother Matt the other night and he is going great over in the UK. St. Helens are flying high, and so is Matt who is scoring plenty of tries, he has sent me over a present for my birthday, and told me it will be good so I can’t wait.

Woo, having Kidley back against the Raiders will give us one of the best sides we've had all year.
