Kimmorely at the Crossroads

The forwards were not fine today. They decided to continously run back into the ruck. The only time the forwards matched it with the dogs was in the last 15 minutes and the first part of the game.

And if noddy was very average, don't you think that is good for having not played for six weeks!!!

Bastard Squad, Kimmorley has come back early from injury and those "predictable" inside passes got us a lot of ground around the middle of the field. When our forwards go forward they are effective. Don't have a go at Kimmorley for a team loss. By the way, Kearney's kicking game was much worse than kimmorley's.

Frailty, no way can I agree. Kimmorley had the forward he was going to pass to already set in his mind, a no brainer for the defense. Dykes on the other has a look and see who's in the best position to receive the pass. Coming back from injury doesn't cut it with me, it was the same sh*t, same smell.

so you admit he was average then.

If thats the case then, why didn't we promote a pl half, move Kearney to halfback and let Noddy regain his form in PL.

Doesn't matter who you are, if you come back into a FG team you should be expected to play at FG standard.

Bastard squard watch the last 15 minutes again, and you will see a large amount of ground and momentum gained from these inside passes. I expected Noddy to get a lot of criticism on this forum because we lost, and people just don't like the guy even though he puts in for the club.

Inferno, look at the meaning of Average. In my opinion Kimmorley should have been brought through premier league but I know two things. 1. I prefer Noddy-BK combination than a Bird-BK combination, and 2. Noddy was not the reason we lost today!

Im not blaming anyone. Im saying there were a number of players who made mistakes including Noddy that contributed to the loss, but no single player to blame.

Will do. 2.30pm tomorrow and I have the day off, I'll take notes.

Your defense of the guy is admirable frailty, but your opinions just don't stack up.
IMO, nobody on the ground tried harder than Noddy.
Today was my first live match & I could not fathom what the change was in the forwards. They looked flat(tired flat) & confused.

I put the main problem down to Noddy.

Lost tribes in Africa know the Dogs play up & in. it is a no brainer.
To beat them you go around them, late in th tackle count afte rquick play the balls off hard runs. A bit of dummy half runs in the mix help to suck the widest player in too.
Now watch the game & see how many times on tackle 2 or 3 Noddy goes wide. Wide & flat!

it was Ando ball all over again.

I have a lot more examples I will post as I remember but I will say, there were at lest 1/6 dozen occassions where noddy let us down, in places we have been going well over the last few weeks.

I don't see where my defence doesn't stack up blacktip. I have agreed with Inferno that Kimmorley's game today was average, which in my opinion is good after coming back early from ankle ligament damage. It is also of my opinion that he did not lose us the game today as some have suggested on this board. Of the current roster, he was the best half back available.

His ando-ball style suggested that he was the only playmaker, but I think he let Kearney free reign a lot, and unfortunately for BK it didn't go too well.

And I agree we should have hit the wings early in the set. This is why it is my opinion that when Dykes comes back we have the Noddy-Dykes combination. Both given free reign could be a great advantage for our side. If we had Dykes as well today, I have no hesitation in saying he may have got our side a win. Put Dykes in Kearney's place today, Noddy giving him a lot of ball (like BK got today) and we would have had been an unstoppable force.

Again, I clarify I never said Noddy had a great game, let alone a good game. I have said he played average, but with the current roster available he was the best choice, and considering he has just come back from a serious injury he did well.

Ok, well, I guess that is a sensible approach.
I will tell you this about the BK - BK combo though.
Today on 3 different occassions, Keaney tried to do what comes instinctively to him. Get the ball & give it quick to a deeper player. No double pumps or inside fade dummys. second sucking nothing plays in other words.
On the first occassion, he went to pass, player there wasNoddy. Noddy appeared to refuse to take it & demanded that kearen ykick it. The resulting kick was awful & went dead by 100 metres. It also seemed to rock BK's confidence.
Second almost identica lplay in same position, Keaney goes to pass & Noddy is almost in front of him 15 metres wider. No alternative but to "Noddy it" back on the inside to a player who I think gets smashed.

IMO, BK was improving listening to Noddy over the last few weeks. He is probably now a bit shattered after playing with him.

I think Noddy may be a bit over drilled now & cant change the way he plays.
That constant inside ball & double pumps & flat play annoy the f*ck outta me.
he will make a good coach I think.

Lol you couldn't just answer the question could you? hehehe.
I don't know if it is a matter of can't change the way he plays, i think it is more he is at the closing stages of his career. All I know is he puts in for the club and I would love to see him stay here as part of the coaching staff.

I never said you did have problem with his commitment. Just stating I think that is one reason he would be good on the coaching staff.
