King Gutho linked to Dragons

Funny you say that mate. My missus said to me about an hour ago " you seem in a good mood today " , to which i said " we just signed King Gutho ".

Long story short, with a clarification of what has transpired she says.. " You know you're over 60 now, right ?"

I spilled my scotch in laughter. No lie.
A more serious undertone but to expand on this…with certain financial, unrest, public health and political circumstances going on the world these days you look to your football team to bring you some respite in a busy working world. The Dragons have given us very little to enjoy and were almost unwatchable before Flannagan took over.

You really can feel a change in the air over the last two weeks. Sure, they may not fire right away but even if we were to run with squad we have now, it’s got an exciting feel about it. An aura of hope and positivity. These guys are going to make some good memories for us to watch on the highlight reels for years to come.

We might just have something to look forward and bring joy back into our lives on the weekends!

I would make Gutho Captain, Sua would be my Vice Captain. Then a leadership team with Cook Liddle and Toby Couchman
I’d reward Su’a for his Herculean efforts past couple of years if he were to want the captaincy. Let Gutho, Cookie, Val and the boys focus on their roles without the added media attention.
If Su’a isn’t the captain type, then Saint Gutho is my pick as well.

Dunno. Still not overly plussed by the signing.

I hope that in 12 months I’m singing a different tune.
I wasn’t too enthused when the rumour mill started on this one. But yesterday I was thinking about all the times a bomb went up this year and I had to close my eyes and hope Sloan caught it. Or if the line was breached and Sloan was last line of defence. Just the security Gutho offers at the back is a win for me. Add in the competitiveness and professionalism and I think he’ll turn out to be a good buy.

Unfortunately our best captain who bleeds Red & White had a few public matters that will deny him of the role fulltime, even though he had a few cameos last year at the job.

Congratulations….u guys were obviously the highest bidder!!
Salty. He have his all for Parra and on the way out you accuse him of being a mercenary.
I get it though, it’s natural to death ride your player after they go to the enemy, I’ll be looking forward to Lomax flick passes to the third row and the tantrums when he is asked to play wing, his best position.
