Looking forward to the Pom/Nz game than us vs Aus now. Have to hope the boys turn up big time and smash them, especially Foran after that terrible chat by that ougheydedspud douche.

Bromwich ahead of tamou, tamololo etc possi

Bromwich has the perfect build for a modern day prop.
Tall, Athletic, quick and runs good lines.

Tamou not too far behind - both could be worthy of snaring a spot
Should be picked ahead of guys like Fuifui moimoi etc.

Yeah I'm sick of those clowns thinking they're on our level. We're a championship winning team, yet they think they're on par with us. LOL @ the "you're not Australia" comments from them. Yeah, we're better. We need to smash them by 40+ and shut them up once and for all.
But didn't you hear...we're playing them in ENGLAND.

Taumalolo to be picked for 4 Nations as those dirty Queenslanders are sniffing around again!

Nah . . . dont pick him cause theyre interested.
They can have him if he wants to go there.

Pick him in the junior kiwis.
That what it is for to develop future kiwis.

Papalii has been more impressive and is more ready IMO.
He also lived much longer in QLD and made the choice to rep for NZ.

Taumalolo was dropped for game two of the 20s.
He has plenty of itme to develop.

No way should he get picked ahead of bromwhich, bodene thompson, Tamou or even papalii.

Not interested in this sort of selection. If he wants to wear black, he'll wear black. If he doesn't, or he's hedging bets, bugger him. (I'm not saying he does or doesn't, FYI)

Josh Hoffman earned a massive amount of respect when he pledged to NZ. I'm almost certain there was a Maroons jersey coming to him at some stage, but he chose to go with his heart to the Kiwis. Those are the guys I want in my side.

Hoffman could be out of the Four Nations with injury. Therefore Locke has the #1 jersey.

Ahh I see there isnt going to be one - which to me is a mistake as I think it's important to bring the fringe/development players into the 'kiwis environment'

New Zealand Rugby League convener of selectors Howie Tamati is anticipating few – if any – bolters in the Kiwis squad for this year's Four Nations.
But in-form Warriors youngsters Shaun Johnson and Kevin Locke are most certainly in the mix to win call-ups to the national side.
The 22-man squad won't be named until after the NRL grand final on October 2 and Tamati said places were still up for grabs.
But with extensive depth in all of the key positions he added that it was unlikely the selectors would spring any surprises when selecting their team.
Of the uncapped Kiwis in the NRL, the likes of Johnson, Locke, Brisbane's Josh Hoffman and Gerard Beale and Melbourne's Kevin Proctor are the potential rookies who could make the final cut.
The NZRL has no plans to announce a Kiwis train-on squad in the coming days for players whose NRL campaigns will come to an end this weekend.
Instead, Tamati said individual players would be shoulder-tapped by Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney and told to keep in shape during in their spare time.
A train-on squad could then be named in a couple of weeks' time.
The Kiwis will play warm up tests in the Cook Islands on October 6 and against the Kangaroos in Newcastle on October 16 before defending their crown.

Bugger! Could have really used the big guy to ragdoll some Aussies. Whose next off the ranks? Do we stay loyal to guys like Frank-Paul or Pritchard? Or look to the likes of Elijah Taylor or some other young blood? All will get the job done.

Selectors Name First Group of Players for Train-On Squad

Eight current or recent Kiwis and an NRL rookie are among the first nine players named today in the national train-on squad to prepare for New Zealand's end of season international programme in October-November.
National selectors Howie Tamati (convener), Stephen Kearney, Tony Iro and Tawera Nikau will add to the squad in the coming weeks as teams are eliminated from the NRL finals.
The first group of nine players covers the eight clubs which failed to make the play-offs - Canterbury-Bankstown, South Sydney, the Sydney Roosters, Penrith, Cronulla, Parramatta, Canberra and Gold Coast.
Included along with experienced internationals like Jeremy Smith, Sam Perrett, Frank Pritchard and Issac Luke is 19-year-old Canberra back rower Josh Papalii. Born in Auckland and raised in Queensland, Papalii started the season playing in the NYC - and is still eligible for the competition next year - but finished it by making 14 NRL appearances for the Raiders.
Sydney Roosters centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall (groin) and Canterbury-Bankstown forward Greg Eastwood (wrist) were ruled out with injuries while Roosters forward Frank-Paul Nuuausala is due to have off-season surgery.
The Kiwis assemble soon after the NRL grand final to travel to Rarotonga to play a one-off Test against the Cook Islands on Thursday, October 6. The Sir Peter Leitch QSM Challenge Trophy will be at stake in the first Test the Kiwis have ever played in the Cook Islands.
They then fly to Sydney en route to Newcastle for the Bill Kelly Cup Trans-Tasman Test against the Kangaroos at Ausgrid Stadium on October 16 before heading to the United Kingdom for the 2011 Four Nations. The World Cup holders and 2010 Four Nations champions meet Australia in Warrington on October 28, Wales at Wembley in London on November 5 and England in Hull on November 12. The top two sides in the competition clash in the final at Elland Road in Leeds on November 19.

2011 KIWIS - TRAIN-ON SQUAD
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs: Frank Pritchard.
Canberra Raiders: Bronson Harrison, Josh Papalii.
Cronulla Sharks: Jeremy Smith.
ParramattaEels: Fuifui Moimoi.
Penrith Panthers: Sam McKendry.
South Sydney Rabbitohs: Issac Luke.
Sydney Roosters: Sam Perrett, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

Really good to see so few selections. It can only mean that the bulk of the squad are playing for successful teams in finals football.

Who do we have in contention? (who is also a serious chance of making the squad)

Locke, Mannering, Vatuvei, Brown, Matulino, Rapira, Packer, Hohaia, Foran, Matai, Marshall, Blair, Manu, Duffie, Nightingale, Fien, Beale, Glenn, Fai Fai Loa, Tamou etc

It's going to be a tough series.
