Then don't whinge or complain about one off tests, or how its chucked at the end of the season because its fans that share your Origin>tests point of view that help place tests to where they are today. A three match aus/nz test series would be the tits but thats never gonna happen when the average person would rather watch two australian teams play each other (to the detriment of nz league) rather than their own country against our most hated rival. not going to be a push for a series or for tests to be more relevant when thats the case.

Thanks for your opinion but I'll whinge all I want, thank you very much.

It's not fans like me that help place Tests where they are. I have been a Kiwis fan since day dot. And up until a few years ago, I preferred Tests over Origin every day of the week. I remember the 1991 series, with the Jarrod McCracken try down the right touch after Blackmore's break, and how stoked I was. Yeah we got humped in the third match but it was a real series. It meant something. Every person on our side bled black. Now we might have someone who wears black but desires green - both in terms of jersey colour and money.

Where I lost passion for Test football was the fact we never have series, we are never allowed to prepare properly, there's these ridiculous eligibility issues etc. When it comes to a World Cup, when we're in camp for an extended period of time and it means something, I'm all over it. World Cup>Origin. But when we're thrown together for 3-4 days, expected to front against a Queensland-laden outfit in a meaningless one-off Test, why should I care?

And don't get me started on the way SKY present our product. Am I seriously to get excited about those gibberers pissing on? It goes a fair way to spoiling the product as well. Yes you can change the commentary but the build-up is all dyslexic Daryl and Steven McIdiot.

Kemp's a piece of work. The dirty grub is now leaking to the media the letters of intent he forced the players to sign.

Apparently, Kemp told Taumalolo he coudn't play for Qld because he'd be stealing a jersey from a true Qlder.

Jason's account of the meeting with sh!thead kemp.

Of course "true" Kiwi Fien never blocked the path of any true kiwis did he, Kemp, you steaming, hypocritical, pool of watery faecal matter.

Kemp's really got to cut out that crap. Where does he get off intimidating grown men into signing letters? Do you know if physical threats were involved? If so this is very serious. I'm going to get Coogee Bay PD on the phone.

Ernest, you and I are going to get on just fine.

Kemp lives in a dream world. He wants the ARLC to increase player payments. Based on what? SOO vastly outsells Test football in terms of sponsorship, television and ticketing revenue. Which probably flies over Tony's head - he just wants more money.

And he keeps waving these letters of intent around like they mean something. The crux of the article is this: The letter is not a legally-binding contract. No one's signing them for Australia. They mean nothing.

As for him being qualified to know if Arthur Beetson is rolling in his grave...my f*cking goodness.

So Fast Eddie, in summary...we have one guy who is going to play for the Kiwis because the law is changing next year and he'll be f*cked. Another one who did not want to block the way of a 'true blue Queenslander'..and one more who wants more time to make up his mind, but is probably going to go the same way by rationale of the first guy. Wonderful. Let's all swing in behind that sort of patriotism.

Funny, we had no dramas when Nathan Fien was blocking someone's path. Or was as much of a Kiwi product as XXXX is.

and why is test football relegated to one off tests at the end of the year? because people care more about origin. and what did you say in your original post? that you would rather watch origin over test football. thats all i was pointing out that i just find it hard to cop that you can complain about 1 off tests saying you want a series but still support origin. origin is the number 1 thing blocking the rise of test football. sorry for seeming like i was have a crack because im sure you get behind the kiwis but i just hate the people that complain about one off tests/aussie trying to poach our players etc etc all the meanwhile supporting origin.

You must be Australian because that article and supporting quote by JT seemed like a though process with integrity towards both Origin and international footy.

Mal is by far a bigger scumbag then Tony Kemp.

"I realised that if a Kiwi comes into a Queensland side ... that's taking another Queenslander's position.

"You could be taking away an opportunity for a true Queenslander to make the team.

"I would be happy playing for either Maroons or Kiwis but I've picked New Zealand and I'm very happy with my decision."

God of Nations at thy feet...in the bonds of love we meet...

Stirring stuff. Held the left part of my chest the whole time I read that.

I dunno about scumbag but sure, Mal has a lesser set of representative morals than Kemp possibly has.

But Kemp is probably the most unprofessional person I've ever come across in sport. Apart from Dave Currie.

I dont mind Tony Kemp at least hes got a bit of fight and does his best to secure players. Sometimes his tactics aren't the best but at least he tries and dosen't let the ARL walk all over him unlike others in the past, who would've laid out the welcome mats for Mal & Ricky at Taumolos, Kasianos, Papailiis, Tuivasa Shecks houses as they did at Hunt, Carroll, Kaufusi & Thorns.

LOL.

I'm quite conflicted cos i'm a proud Kiwi who values International Footy over the exhibition matches that are Origin. But at the same time I'm a Raiders fan who grew up worshiping Mal n Ricky...I have signed cards of these guys framed on my wall above my PC.

My heroes are robbing my country of its talent.

It's all to do ith the money and the hype of Origin. Lets be honest here... No self respecting person would ever willingly want to be a convict. But give them the chance to earn 150k a year in an overhyped match and you are going to tempt even the most patriotic of kiwis.

I really don't understand how a domestic game between two states in one country can create such a wank fest. For me, playing for your country against other countries is the pinnicle and to expand the game, promoting the international game is what we should be doing.

Origin is the pinnicle of our game, but it shouldn't be. I'd drop origin to a one off test at the end of the year and have three standalone international weeks throughout the year that coincides with the English super league.

Neeeeeever gunna happen though.

Lets be honest, you could see this coming mile away. In a sense, thoe arrogant twats meninga and Stuart deserve to be part of the ever changing demeaning farce that is now surely seen as STate of Choice. When you start to change the truth and meaning of a concept for short term gain, inevitably it catches up with you. The brand value for State of Choice will slowly diminish

Is there a problem if origin has mostly 'brown' players in a few years time? Are they less passionate than the 'white' players?

I think the problem will be that in 10 years time the main thing the players playing are passionate about when it comes to SOC is money.

Have you ever lived in QLD or been here during Origin time? Seriously, they're the most self absorbed stateriots I've ever come across. You'd swear QLD was it's own country the way they carry on about the place.
