Kearney should be pleased, real chance to "build for the future" now

Ha, now it's even more Mickey Mouse that Benji wasn't picked. Now we go into a three-Test series with a halves combo comprising of one of the three of Lolohea, Nikorima and Martin. Unless I've missed someone?

Absolute joke.

I don't understand why Kearny is trying to make out that Benji is an option for the Kiwis - maybe he's taking the piss, or not wanting to deflect some media attention? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I seem to recall someone in the Kiwi's camp saying that Beni would never wear the jersey again, because of his toxicity in the team. I don't know exactly what that means but we know too well what toxic players can do from following the Warriors.

That's he problem, if he's never to be selected again, just f**king say it - same with JWH, this 'next year' stuff is ridiculous

Exactly. Doesn't have to be as strongly worded, just say there's been issues in the past etc etc. I'd still say get over it, but at least we get an answer

In away I'm glad the kiwis are in this situation, for years we've struggled with our half's. I was hoping Martin would get selected just to tour and maybe play the game against St Helens? with Nikorima at half. Or if they want some experience maybe Luke and cherrington or Brown to hooker

seems like we have options everywhere but in the halves. At a guess...

1. RTS
2. Nightingale
3. Whare
4. Hiku
5. SKD
6. ??
7. ??
8. Bromwich
9. Luke
10. Matulino
11. Taumalolo
12. Proctor
13. Mannering

14. Brown (Has Kearney ever played Luke for 80?)
15. Taupau
16. Moa
17. Taukeiaho

18. Harris/Taylor (for when/if Mannering pulls out)

Would like to see Rona/Simona picked. Think they're both very good prospects.

Tawera Nikau talking up Tuivasa-Sheck's "versatility"

Oh, FFS - yep, let's take a strength from fullback and put him where he's never played at first grade

TBH it's looking horrendously stupid, two rookies (presumably Nikorima and Lolohea), neither have done squat in the halves at NRL level, and then the likes of Harris, RTS, and perhaps Eastwood?

I just don't feel like Kearney is an intelligent, man managing coach at all.

With all the good will surrounding the Kiwis of late, why would you be aiming to do anything but win the series and win it well? Take some rookies and expose them to the environment, maybe even play them in the 3rd Test if we're 2-0 up and v Leeds.

But go and win the f*cking series. Don't play the competition's best fullback anywhere else, that's dumb. You've known you need a playmaker since SJ went down, pick Benji.

If it unravels into a rabble we'll know who to blame.

To me, Kearney is like Bluey was. Obviously can form bonds, but give him a long-term project and there's not enough to sustain it. Same with Mal (although that might be quite as fair).

You guys are way to harsh on Kearney
