im with pete here..it would blow you all out if he carves it up and kk finds it hard to force his way back in the side after injury again. The opinions on this forum really cracks me up,a lot of people have no idea

It will be interesting if humble really turns it on. I don't think you can justify leaving KK out as he has been one of our best.

Hmmm Morts and Humble as the starting halves. I can see tears coming.

Mortimer would be the senior half. Worked well for Hodkinson and Foran, but I really do fear for us if this is the case.

KK is not that experienced himself. And our very inexperienced halves combo of Morts and Robson did pretty well for themselves last year. Not a fan of this as a long term option either but for a one of game I see no problem with a Humble/ Morts halves combo.

morts will just need to step up and hopefully humble follows his lead. hopefully the forwards can get going forward and we should be ok...i think he will be fine
i think what scares people is the fact we hit the sea eagles when they have run into a touch of form but even then they still seem to have lapses we just need to be there for 80 mins and i expect hayne to have a big game too after playing for aus...he usually does

Our forwards just need to set the platform (as they've done the last 3 weeks) and we'll be right.

Yep, I changed my tip based on this info. I think we'll get lapped without KK, and without having tried Burt or Hayne at #6 ahead of Humble.

if he does debut, he can't be any worse than Mortimer so far this year. If he plays well, it should be Mortimer looking over his shoulder, not Keating.

as expected, Humble didn't play for Wenty today and the official word is that he'll be18th man, however it does appear that the inside mail is strong and that he'll start tomorrow night.

Oake will probably be the 18th man.

I'm definitely not expecting much from him but I do expect him to learn from the experiance.

What I don't get is why so many are giving it to Mortz. I know he is probably suffering the second year syndrome, but 2 months ago everyone was screaming for him to re-sign and now he is just one step up from Poore in a lot of eels fans' estimations.
Come on day , lead the team around the paddock , pass and back up like we know you can , give Manly something to think about!

I dont think Humble will pressure mortimer after one or two games. If mortz is out for an extended time then I think he may be looking over his shoulder.

Then why should he pressure Keating?

I was just agreeing with PG that if he's going to pressure anyone, it should be Mortimer rather than Keating, because Keatings form has been much better.
In saying that, I fully agree that he won't be pressuring anyone after one game.
