Not sure about that bold bit Loudy, Your double scotch/jim beam and coke would cost $15 atleast in a sydney night club now.

Also I love bourbon but I couldnt do without beer!

They would charge you $15 in a normal suburban pub for it these days - think higher,

$7 or $8 seems to be the standard for even the most basic drink at a club, even some pubs will charge upwards of $6 for a schooie.

For a double shot you're probably looking at $20+. You can pay $15 comfortably just for a single shot bourban.

Shit's rough, glad I'm getting a bit too old for it now.

To be fair on Loudy, the average weekly wage in Aust in 1980 was $208, and by 2013 it was $1,105. So an increase of 530%.

Did the ave nightclub double cost more or less than $2.83 in 1980? ($15/5.3)

i'm now worried you'll try and find me and readjust my attitude

I suspect the thing he adjusts most is his clothing when interrupted during one of his 'keyboard hero' sessions.

Oops...distinct lack of respect there.

Having said that I do wish I was as tough and well travelled as him:lol:

I think the most disturbing aspect of this whole thread is that Loudy dissed beer. Beer is the most wonderful thing in the history of the Universe. Well, possibly with the exception of Rugby League or well, errr. I think I might stop there.

You'd pay close to $10 for a bottled beer in the City easily

A schooner is usually around $7 in the City even at the most normal pubs

$7?! Daylight theft.

My local pours them for $4.70. Bottled beer is a f**king rort. If I feel like bottled beer, I'll buy roadies.

The city is a rip off.

Local RSL is where it's at.

Nothing beats the Sargeants Mess though. Cheapest beers I've ever seen

Those drinks prices are disrespectful. Time to stomp their f**king faces in.
