Quite clear why he wasn't charged with that because luckily his victim was not seriously injured.

My understanding is that if there are fractures involved, charges of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm are able to be made, if that's so he's lucky he didn't cop that and an increased sentence.

Respect is mandatory. In some countries if it is not shown you will get more than a slap or punch/stomp on the head, in some places in the world you will be dead - someone will shoot you. Like I said previously the twat may have deserved what he got. What he said may not have been acceptable. One thing is certain though, the next time he feels like mouthing off to a 120 kg man he will think twice. He may also start to show some respect to others when in public. Never judge a man when you have not traveled a day in his shoes. Who knows what took place on the night in question ? Who know what may have been said. Nowdays, if you turn up to a pub/club totally hammmeremd you wont get in the door. There was no such thing as "responsible service of alcohol" back then. Binge drinking is simply about getting pissed now - its possible for someone to drink steadily starting at 7 or 8pm and still be buying drinks at 4am - they can now slowly get hammered, and stay up longer by including energy drinks and certain illegal ElephantJuice. Back in our day we only had speed and coffee.
