My understanding is that if there are fractures involved, charges of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm are able to be made, if that's so he's lucky he didn't cop that and an increased sentence.

Fudge was not exactly offering a soft, soothing face massage.

then when his victim hits the deck, it's not enough, you cant just knock a guy down anymore, you gotta kick him and punch him, or Packers chase, stomp him and when hits the deck.

i heard a doctor commenting on this point years ago. there used to be the idea that you dont kick someone when their down, now it seems you try and prove how tough you are ebating on someone who's defenceless

fact that Russell Packer is a dickhead.

this is probably the simplest and correct explanation

Depends what was said or done. For example if you mentioned my family or my mother in a non complimentary way I may just give you a hiding for being a disrespectful twat.

It just so happens my fellow man may not be so inclined. If this be the case and he needs an attitude adjustment I'm at times willing to assist.

The real lesson is be kind courteous and respectful to others and there wont be a problem.

so i'll bow down to you and "respect" you the way you think you DESERVE to be respected and you wont stomp on my head...good to know. also glad to ehar you'll give me an "attitude" adjustment ebcause my attitude should eb exactly like yours

Respect is mandatory. In some countries if it is not shown you will get more than a slap or punch/stomp on the head, in some places in the world you will be dead - someone will shoot you. Like I said previously the twat may have deserved what he got. What he said may not have been acceptable. One thing is certain though, the next time he feels like mouthing off to a 120 kg man he will think twice. He may also start to show some respect to others when in public. Every man will get a hiding at some stage in his life. Looks like this guy just got his.

and in some countries women are forced to be subservient to men, but hey thats just respect. just ebcause anothe rculture is more backwards doesnt excuse this behavior.

Never judge a man when you have not traveled a day in his shoes. Who knows what took place on the night in question ? Who know what may have been said. Who knows Mr Packers tortured or privileged past? In my book everyone makes mistakes. Packer is paying and will continue to pay for his mistake. Once he has done so he should be allowed to continue his life as others should.

so by this wonderful logic we shouldn't judge pedo's unless we've committed several acts? should i go stomp on some poor bastard so i can then know what packer felt like?

are you packer's BFF?? seriously this shit is some of the most backwards crap ever written. i'm now worried you'll try and find me and readjust my attitude

I have no f**king idea where this mouthing off and talking shit about peoples mothers came from. Russell stole a couple of ciggies from a girl and the other guy had a go at him about it so Russell did what he did.

merkin deserves every second of those 2 years behind bars

I had no idea what came of it, if that's the actual story, then i really think it speaks volumes of any defending this clown

Court documents show that the incident was captured on CCTV footage.
The documents say the footage shows the pair arguing before the NRL star punches the left side of Mr Time's head. "The accused moved in and punched the victim again a number of times to the head. This caused the victim to fall backwards to the ground, hitting his head on the ground.
"The victim was lying motionless ... the accused has bent down and punched the victim again with his left hand in an uppercut motion. He then stood up straight and stomped on the victim's face."

How can anyone seriously defend this? FML. What a massive waste of seed Knights Vision is. Goodness me

How does someone punch a guy who is motionless on the ground in an uppercut motion?

Really?

I imagine they mean like a hook instead of straight punches to the head, its a more powerful punch, though straight punches with the blokes head against the concrete would be ugly.

Loudy, you are full of shite.

Don't know whether you have kids but surely you have heard of pres - yes, they head out at 9 or 10pm, full of piss because they can't afford to drink to excess in clubs due to the price charged.
I have 3 legal aged teenages - it all depends on socioeconomic circumstance. Drink prices are probably lower compared to the average wage now than they were back in the 1980's.

Nowdays, if you turn up to a pub/club totally hammmeremd you wont get in the door. There was no such thing as "responsible service of alcohol" back then. Binge drinking is simply about getting pissed now - its possible for someone to drink steadily starting at 7 or 8pm and still be buying drinks at 4am - they can now slowly get hammered, and stay up longer by including energy drinks and certain illegal ElephantJuice. Back in our day we only had speed and coffee.

And who couldn't drink a dozen schooners in 5 hours. (7pm - 12 midnight);-) You obviously was a wimp - gin and tab kind of a guy.
Beer? You blouse. 5% alcohol, pfft. That's like trying to win Bathurst in a 4 cylinder on E10 fuel and Goodyear grand rallies. I was always a double scotch/Jim Beam and coke in a middy class, supplemented with Rusty Nails. (you had to have a bourbon chaser to get rid of the Avgas taste) My fave was Stroh Islander rum from Austria. It tasted like airfix glue, but it was 80% alcohol.

I never got into a fight either. I had my "smokes" incident -a bloke threatened to bash me if I didnt give him a smoke. I said to his mates that it wasnt worth it, and offered the smoke just as my mate "defended" me, and threw a punch at him, missed, and decked his mate. I had to offer 2 smokes then lol!

Beer - may as well drink a f*cking shandy you ponce!

Loudy calling anyone a dickhead is like comparing dickheadness. Is Loudy a bigger dickhead than Packer, or not?
No, I'm only about Watmoughs height. Nor have I ever king hit anyone or stomped on their face. I have never pissed on live television. I did piss on the Harbour Bridge once though.

Obviously, you have not been to a club for a long time. The prices they charge for drinks today are extreme; that is why the young ones pre, these days.

As for the rest of your rant, I will make one comment; anyone that ruins a good whiskey (noticed spelt correctly, as the Irish do) with coke has no f**king idea: dash of water, maybe.

Loudy, you are a f**king goose.;-)

Not sure about that bold bit Loudy, Your double scotch/jim beam and coke would cost $15 atleast in a sydney night club now.

Also I love bourbon but I couldnt do without beer!
