On Packer.. Ill be curious what happens with him after the conclusion of whatever sentence he gets (if any). A couple of years is a long time in rugby league and people have a good habit of giving people a second chance. People on here years ago were saying Sbw should not be allowed back in the game. Now those people have gone very quiet. It wouldn't surprise me if Danny wicks gets another shot at the nrl as well in the future. If Dave smith and co don't let him back, then I commend the decision, but time will tell.

I'm serious, I believe if he serves his time (whatever that may be); I have no problem if a club wishes the sign him, so be it - he has served his punishment.

Obviously, you would believe there would be a good behaviour requirement within the contract.

If a contract registration was refused on the grounds he has served prison time for assault; would not it be a restraint of plying ones trade?
