we've only seen him play 5/8 with the best halfback in the world.

if matt orford wants to play with the knights - why would we knock him back? a few decent games at half does not make a great halfback. remember who was the halfback against the dragons? orford is a quality half - i'll be more than happy to see him in a Knights jersey if Joey goes elsewhere.

and what exactly is wrong with Craig Hall? I'd prefer him to score 5 tries in 6 games in a Knights jersey than another. his defence needs some work, but you could just about say that for all the backs.

I'd love for us to snap Orford up, providing we can't re-sign Joey for a significantly lower contract than he is on now. As you know, Orford would sign up with the Bears if they got back in, Newcastle isn't too far away from the Central Coast!

Now the Roosters would offer more money but if he aint happy in the city well why would he wanna play 4 the Roosters? Newcastle is a lot closer to the Central Coast, He wants 2 be where the surf is and I think Newcastle has the best surf round!!!

Now Joey has said he is staying in league but has he said in the NRL? He may very well go over to England for the big bucks and play out his career there, im not sure but either way we will have a quality half next year!

That was the case before he re-signed in 2001... but he stayed as we got a new coach and so forth. Matty wants him to stay with Newcastle anyway.
