Well lets all just hope Dureau has an on day this week. All the chopping and changing throughout the season must have had some influence on Mullens form also, as I said earlier he is approaching the same mediocrity of the other two. It can't be easy adapting to two totally different players.

Ok, lets go straight from the top - JD was trying to say (in short) that they have picked different teams for different matches, and those subtle changes have included the halves as well. He didn't word it prefectly, and you (Alex) misinterpreted him, which was followed up by JD not explaining what he said better, and then you just carried on etc etc

So you're both to blame :p

Precisely. Didn't know I had to spell it out in black and white, but meh, lets look forward to this week when Dureau takes Walsh to school

All I am saying is that if he is a player that should only be picked for certain games and based around certain teams, should he even be playing NRL? I mean the Bulldogs don't drop Kimmorley or the Cowboys don't drop Thurston depending who is selected and who they are playing...we are lumbered with two halves who are not really NRL standard and it is killing us...

Lets just hope he has one of these much fabled good games and get us through...

You've summed it up Alex however, I dont buy into the fact that some people seem to be excusing Mullens often sh*thouse form on the fact that he is being partnered with someone different a lot.

Mullen really bloody needs to step up his game and be a bit consistant.

Also I was thinking we should be looking at a new captain next year IMO Gidleys not handling the pressure.

Bit of a difference in class between Kimmorley, Thurston and Dureau in all fairness Alex. I'm not saying Dureau is completely sh*thouse unlike a lot of people in here, but to compare him to those two who have been playing FG for what - 10 years at least - is a bit of a stretch.

I'm certainly not excusing his form, Mullen should be able to play consistantly no matter who he plays with. I'm suggesting that might be a reason, and if it is then Mullen isn't all he's wrapped up to be. Swapping partners who have completely different abilities and inabilities wouldn't be easy but is not insurmountable. Yes I agree Kidley aint captain material, he's too nice.

Don't forget boys and girls. When Mullen does swap partners he also changes position. Mullen doesn't play half-back ALL the time.

Despite that, he played sh*thouse v Canberra.

When Dureau is in the team, mullen kicks about half the time and plays more 2nd receiver leacving dureau to do more organising. When Rogers is in the team, Mullen kicks just about everytime and his kicks are more pressured, plus he plays mainly 1st receiver and is the key organiser.

I agree wth Antonius that his job would be made harder by the chopping and changing.

Can we please just ALL agree that we should probably target our next major signing as being a decent half/5-8.

yes, we definitely need to target a half and another prop.

simmo should retire to allow us to do so tbh...

Yep unofficially...though I have been told that Freddy let it slip 'officially' on one of those Bigpond shows a while back.

1 great game from Dureau will make a season. We will be in the finals from that 1 win.

You have said it for weeks now Karma.
