Alright folks, there are a few contenders this week. Most people tipped with the Knights, and in doing so found themselves not in contention.
It comes down to four by my reckoning, but feel free to let me know if I've missed your tip (close tips only people
):
Thug (Broncos 30-10): Not bad, only off the margin by two points, and if both teams had scored once more each, Thug would be waving the banner until Saturday night.
Antonius (Broncos 30-12): Hitting some form, the old Tony. The margin is spot on, and once again, as with Thuga, if he'd accounted for an extra try in there to both teams, he'd be waving a banner too (having had a fight to the death with Thugga).
Knight82 (Broncos 34-12): Mate, a 34-12 tip isn't bad at all. You obviously turned you tele off not long before the full time siren when you watched the pirated pre-match version of game the other day. The game isn't over till the fat lady sings, or until the skinny ref blows his whistle. You get the consolation prize..... once we find one.
The winner, though, despite a tremendous effort from a handful, is.......
Macavity (Broncos 36-16): Usually a correct margin is almost a guarenteed victory, but this effort just pipped Tony's at the post (you must have been working out, or else Tony has stacked a few pounds on). If Darren Lockyer misses a conversion, Macavity would have the tip in the bag (and thousands of dollars if he'd put some money on it). I couldn't go past it.
As the sole appointed judge, and barring any objections from thy opponents, I declare thee, Macavity of Marathon, the deserving winner of the speakethed-of banner.
