Yeah - no one slided out to help, and when Uate was faced with two or three attackers he ran around like a headless chook. The whole line was really ordinary whenever they moved the ball to their right. It really stood still, no moving up and no slide what-so-ever. Need more communication with the younger guys coming from the inside. Glad to see the two really turned it on in attack in the second half though.
Naiqama I think. Atleast Sau has given it a couple times to Uate.
It was weird, they often looked a much better side in attack. we were winning due to their sh*tty defense, but it seemed they were more potent. I'm glad we contained them and the score got us into the 8. We were definitely the better side, but it had a weird feel to it. I know I'm not articulating myself well, decidedly non-committal, but I had a number of beers, so shoot me.
Essentially what I'm trying to say is, Parra were threatening, moreso than the scoreline indicates, I felt like we should have been able to win by more, but simultaneously worried that they could have cut the margin way down in the last 20.
Uate should be with MacDougall.
The Sau/Uate partnership doesn't work in defense or attack really.
Uate had a terrible game in defense, but Sau was leaving him a lot of ground to cover, and Uate struggles to cover 5 metres, let alone 10 or 15.
In attack, Uate could have had three if Sau drew the defense and put him away, rather than just scoring one and blowing two others.
I took a sequense of pics of Uate that i put in a thread earlier in the year that showed the best and worst of Uate, showed him missing a tackle, then cleaning up the mess and driving the guy 10 feet sideways over the sideline.Gotta agree, id prefer to see MacManus with Sau. Uate is funny in defence, he looks like he was only taught to tackle last week. Id love to see him use his power more in defence.
I wanna know how the Scott Dureau fans explain the Knights piling on the points with one halfback and no 5/8 only Chris Houston named in the halves, but really playing as an extra forward
From this time forward, Scott Dureau will be forever known as SUPERSUB.
