young tried ahrd and wasnt bad, BUT he did make that one giant error and everytime he hit it up he got SMASHED, without fail everytime he looked winded from each hit

To be fair, the difference in standard between first grade and premier league would be massive. So what if Young looked a bit winded every time he hit the ball up - I was happy with the fact that he continued to try. You often see regular first graders crouched over on the ground recovering from tackles, so imagine what it must be like for a new guy in the top grade.

He has to carry about 5 kilos of padding when he runs, no wonder he's always out of breath. Someone tell him its not cricket and he doesn't have to be a complete pussy when he runs out on the field.

Just a disgracful performance by them. From that amazing defensive effort against the Panthers, to that. Now we've got the worst defence in the league, and absolutely no attacking threats at all. Richardson has got to hold on in tackles.

No combination between forwards and backs. Kennedy and Kidley playing without their heads whenever they decide to throw a pass of any description and no real direction overall.

It was good to see Buderus kick from dummy half for the first time in a while. Especially in the conditions, the option works well, but its never used unless its a last option. Hopefully it'll be on more from now.

O'Davis will thankfully be back next week, Tahu is still in extreme doubt though. The backs need them both at the moment, there was little to no teamwork there yesterday.

We are not as good at losing as the sharks - but that is because you get so much more practice than we do.

I disagree.
The Knights do have depth, but even our depth is injured - we're now into the next line of depth.

We've gone through three fullbacks (O'Davis, Seage & Salkeld) with Michael Young having now emerged in first grade.
So it isn't really a matter of the normal depth you would mention when a reserve grader comes up to fill in a regular's shoes.

The Knights will struggle a bit without the core side on the field. As another thread mentioned, the Hospital Ward League team looks better than the side out on the park at the moment.

You don't lose O'Davis, Tahu, Quinn, Seage, Johns, Hughes, Simpson, Quigley, Newton and a whole swag of the next-in-lines and expect to continue a tight defence and flamboyant attack.

I went to the game yesterday and so wished i had not wasted my money.
The only reason we went is we brought tickets before everyone was injured and thought it might be a fun road trip. Boy were we wrong.
Even if the weather was sunny, we would have still been pathethic, the amount of drop ball, mistakes and definate lack of defense and attack we were and could possibly continue to be in real trouble.
If we don't find better options, I am not looking forward to state of origin time where we will have no coach and no seniors, it will def not be a fun time. I know it will take a while to gel without Johns and get some sort of teamwork going, I just really hope it happens soon.

The Sharks couldn't beat us... we actually know how to control ourselves and not kick people in the head while their down with sheer malice.
Plus we had alot more players out than you and Souths still beat you.
