 @ the last two posts.
I've had time to cool down after watching that tripe this afternoon.
A few things, and yes I am trying to put a positive spin on things. Firstly, it's always been the case for most Knights teams over the years that they always put in one and in last year's case, several bad performances a year. The game today was their one bad performance for the year, so we can forget about the game and move on to next week.
When you consider everything that happened during the week (naming and selection of the team in particular), coupled with the last six or so weeks, combined with the way the Raiders are playing, it's hardly surprising the team dished up what they did. Disappointing, sure, but lets not forget that this team are still improving, they're still a work in progress and because on average, its a pretty damn young side and consistency isn't quite there. They've been up for six weeks and it was only a matter of time before they dropped their guard. Personally, and this doesn't help those who went today, I'm glad they served up what they did in Canberra, rather than in a fortnight against the Storm in Bedsy's final home game.
Finally, our record backing up from Monday night's comes back to haunt us again. With the exception of last week (a Monday-Monday turnaround), I think we're 0 and 8 backing up from a Monday night game. You can make excuses that a Monday-Sunday turnaround is the same as a Sunday-Saturday etc, but personally I think mentally a Monday-Sunday game is a lot more difficult to cope with.
