The Dane to fullback experiment has turned out shit. Ross is good under the high ball, makes good metres, is enthusiastic, decent defender. He's the logical choice for mine
If Dane stinks up the centre position again... f**k him off to the wing with Pete/Pat to come in.
This side is assuming that Mullen & Pete are unavailable

Yeah, I don't really care about the team makeup anymore, to be honest. Whatever we send out won't be good enough.... and the effort is already down compared to the start of the year, I assume it will continue to dwindle.

They have tried hard every game this year, but it is human nature that the belief is going to dwindle as we keep getting flogged. And we will.

For all the flack he cops, Mullo is still one of our better players - and the likely replacements are certainly no better. We have no one else to come in/back who is going to make any real difference to our performance.

In other words, the team list doesn't really matter.

I honestly don't think we win another game this year.

My prediction is Taylor gets sacked the week before we play the Tigers, and they are up for it... and realistically, they are the only side close to as dire as we are.

Outside of that, who do we even get close to? There are QLD cup sides who we wouldn't be certainties to beat.

At least we are developing some kids - although a) it doesn't do much for development getting flogged each week, and b) as soon as they are decent, they will be picked up by a richer club (i.e. Tapine).

Yeah, I couldn't even see where our first win was going to come from. I thought the Tigers were a shot at beating us. It's hard to imagine how we beat another team.

Mullo definitely not one of our better players.

Likely replacements certainly no better.

Manly let Pearsall go, after losing Foran, and with no replacement ready.

Feeney we have seen.

Lamb is going to get run over.

I won't miss the shitty chip kicks either, but Mullo was still one of our better players (in a terrible bunch).

We might next week, but I don't think we'll get much better week on week. The kids might be able to pull a few rabbits out of hats here and there, but backing it up every week will be a struggle.

I'm really surprised the TAB hasn't made an offer to me to bail out on the $50 I bet at odds of $7.20 that the Knights win 0-6 games this year. Just pay it out now!

I'd go with that or Mamo at fullback and Ross wing.
Ross doesn't deserve to lose a spot because Mamo is fit and we know Mamo will get a look in.
I'd like to see how Feeney goes in a position he knows. He was back in the halves in reserve grade after first going back to fullback.
Paea seem to be treated as eol. He might not get a run if there is someone else we can look to for the longer term.
Tempted to rest Smith again. I don't think his body is up to it.

I don't know what to do with Feeney anymore. Has been a giant fail so far, isn't good enough in his 'natural' position, but he has a lot of qualities you want in a first grader.

Also Ross doesn't deserve to lose his spot, period. As much as I don't like the guy, he was amongst our best today.

I'd be tempted to start Randell at 5/8 and cover him with a bench 5/8.
That's not because I think Randell is the best to slot into 5/8 but I reckon he could add some leadership and organisation. He has been with the team for a while and is highly respected.

If the bench 5/8 could slot into the backs it would be a bonus. We get done by not having a fwd who can play in the backs when needed.

All relies on Hodko stepping up which is what he needs to do anyway - if he has it in him.

Tend to expect a fullback to be able to slot into 5/8 in this era but Gagai is well off that. He may never be ready for it with us.

I don't really see a point playing Randell at 5/8. The only thing we are in contention for this year is the spoon. I could understand if it was late in the season and we were borderline top 8. There is no point playing someone there who will never be a permanent solution. May as well blood someone who Brown see's as a future NRL player. Whether that is Pearsall or Lamb, I dont care. Keep levi on for the majority of the game, Randell can help the halves by coming on as a lock.

You mean Robbo's epic whinge! He should be made to sit the week out. Cummins did not deserve to be humiliated like that. It was a disgrace actually. Cummins was trying to keep the game flowing. They were 18 nil down. They did OK getting back into it. Roosters think the world owes them a living. I hope he gets fined big time. Browny has plenty more to whinge about. Most penalised side in the game and yet he focuses on our performance. That is the problem. Refs are not why we are where we are.
