Moley now saying its between Lamb and Pearsall with latter possibly getting a nod...which is quite a surprise and a massive change from this morning saying lamb is almost a definite starter.

As much as he didn't have a lot to do, Pearsall was solid enough in his debut against the Tigers which is why I saw him as the likely first choice as soon as Mullen was ruled out - this seemed to be re-enforced by Browns recent comments on Pearsall.

There is a significant difference in likely playing a large chunk of a first grade game but we'll see how he handles it against the Roosters - I think Brown has a fair degree of faith in his capacity to develop and improve (although I acknowledge he has to sound upbeat because he doesn't have much choice in who he can pick and choose from at present)

Lamb debuting at 5/8.

Without comparing Lamb to Pearsall, I like this.
It gives us cover for the backs which we desperately need. It's often unlikely a back will get injured but we have had a spate of it lately.

We need to look for more versatility form our fwds. Some of these guys need to train out wide so they can fill in if needed.

Pearsall off bench for Randell . Bhana to start for Smith. Seems we will mix Lamb and Pearsall up a bit which makes sense.

Im surprised Randell got cut, is he injured??

He has been one of our best (admittedly not saying much). Pearsall couldnt be playing THAT well in reserves if he missed the starting 5/8th spot....

Also surprised about Randell. Might be a sign of things to come. I don't think we can keep Randell, Lamb and Pearsall to the end of their contracts. Randell will be the highest on other club's radars.

f**k I'd love to see Gags have a big one. I still think with a few adjustments he'll make a great 1.

Brown does like Bhana. He did do a little ball playing last week. Hopefully he can do a lot more.

I've liked what i've seen so far. Totally different players, but I think Bhana has been better than Tariq since he's comeback into the side.

Tariq really needs to pull his socks up. He's quickly becoming a never-been.
