Gidley will be hooker next year with Clydesdale probably coming off the bench.

Agree mate. Gids will be at hooker if fit and Dobson will play NSW Cup. I know his highlights on YouTube look impressive but he is still an ordinary defender, no different than one S. Dureau

That's a bummer. Kurt doesn't offer much of anything as a half, and hooker (his third best position) he's bloody ordinary. I'd rather have Waddell out there.

For reals? Bro, I just can't understand that call

Maybe not Waddell, but I struggle to think of a time where Kurt looked anything other than impotent and slow out of #9. He's a passable half if you don't want any creativity and was a great fullback, but he's not a dummy half.

Jeez mate I'd say the opposite. He is a competent hooker but I never, ever want to see him in the halves again.

Strange how everyone perceives things differently

Gidley was fine at hooker. Sure the first few games there he was scratchy, but after a while he was looking pretty decent before copping an injury. He makes a solid 30+ tackles a game along with some nice scoots from DH. I get that he's massively overpaid and injury prone, but I don't quite get all the criticism he gets on his playing ability (unless he's at half).

Give gids an off season to train at hooker, get gids and Clydesdale to work with bedsy at training and we will be sweet.

Bedsy should do what Joey should have done and stick with the Knights to mentor his predecessor. Imagine how much better Mullo and Tyrone would be if Joey didn't f**k off and go train DCE and Foran? There's so much Bedsy could pass onto Clydsdale and with his current arsenal, one that will improve leaps and bounds in first grade, we could see a repeat of Origin '07.

Joey did work with our halves in the preceding years of his retirement mate. He failed to make much of an impact along with the Dogs and Parra

I do not rate Joey as a coach, at all

Yep. Gidley is competent at hooker at the very least, and certainly a better hooker than a half.

If Uate managed to ground it and BJ didn't know on, Mullen's kicking game would have been considered amazing. However, the game is one of inches and it wasn't to be. I wish he would roll the ball into the ingoal more often...

I reckon Bedsy set us up in that first 10 or so. He was everywhere. Tackled his heart out. 42 Tackles topped out with Houston.
Highlight was seeing Slater turned inside out by Kev N.

Wasn't it great! I also enjoyed seeing him turned into a speed bump by Aku and gifting us Hilders try with a terrible error.

At the moment the only way Slater will be selected for the Kangaroos is on reputation alone. he has been average ( by his standards ) for 2 seasons now. Inglis is a better FB .
