It'll be a tough ask, I think we can beat them. But if we go toe to toe with them and just lose in melbourne in 2nd week of finals I'll be disappointed but it'll go a long way for us next year.

Loving this optimism. I honestly feel like we can win this game. The backs against the wall underdog scenario seems to suit us a lot more than the favourites tag.

We're on the opposite side of the draw to Manly. Long way to go yet but man, if we both made it, that would be massive.

A added bonus is every match further is one less kade has to serve next year. On top of the world cup games could he possibly be back for Round 1 if we do the storm?

I hope Gower comes in to replace Hilder. Unlike most who were quick to say 'all 17 were brilliant' i thought Hilder was the clear odd man out in terms of playing with the intent the other 16 were, still a few 'textbook' tackles that gave away quick play the balls and a lazy swinging arm when he did try and belt someone.

I don't think he did much wrong overall, i just don't think he fits into what our pack is trying to achieve. We noticably slowed down around the ruck when Bedsy went off IMO and i think Gower has just as much direction and spark as Buderus and we could use him either side of halftime to try and put the foot down on the throat of melbourne if we are bashing them out of the game.

I thought Waltzing did a great job no errors stats were good. Also never change a winning team if you don't need too. I thought the bench were very instrumental holding the dogs out when they were a man down. Nev and Waltzing did a great defensive job.along with everyone else.

With my $140 winnings from last weekend I might put $30 on us this weekend. I think we're paying $3 at the moment.

I'm 2 from 2 when betting on us, hope I can keep that up.

Hmm, just looked and its paying $17 for us to win the GF. Hmmm tempting.

Sportsbet also has prices for next years premiers, and we're equal 10th favourite with the Faiders! What the?

LOL. Faiders are set to have a Parra-like season under Stuart. It does show betting agencies have no idea what they're doing.

I have a unbelievably good feeling about Sat night.

We'll be playing the Roosters next week.

The way I'm looking at this game is that we are a team on the up they are a team on a downhill slide imo. They have a few players on the decline and our boys newfound confidence has me thinking this may be our time.

It's one way of looking at it positively anyway.

Cameron Smith has had some of his worst games ever in the last couple of months, however he always plays his best when he comes up against us and Bedsey it seems.

But I also have a good feeling, I just watched highlights of both of our games against them, we we're the better team twice but didn't have that mental edge and finesse which I feel we have right now.

Yeah I saw this the other day. My take on it is that betting has just opened so not much money is going into 2014 yet and most of it is with the top 4 sides. The prices will shorten closer to next season
