I'm happy with that one. Competitive for the game till the end.

Saifiti our best today, I thought King went well in the touches he had.

A few things going our way and we could have taken that game.

Well, this game is a good example of what happens when we play a team that is of a similar ability to us. I wouldnt say we improved at all, its just that we can compete when our opposition is shit too.

Obviously a huge improvement but it's disappointing to lose a game you could of won in a season where wins aren't going to be easy to come by.

Easy to look like we improved going from playing a premiership contender one week and a spoon contender the next. I wouldnt get too excited.

I know some people here really like Randall but I find him such an average player.

Yes, he is bog ordinary. Levi is our long term hooker according to Brown, so he's really just our utility. If Levi can ever get to be an 80 minute player, we won't see much more of Randall.

This was Daniel Saifiti's break out game. 237 metres off the bench is massive! And a few decent offloads close to the line as well, I hope he can bring it like that for the rest of the year.

We lost today but I'm proud of the boys to be honest, the effort was definitely there but we just lack the good decision making when it counts. Gagai shouldn't have kicked it when he went through the middle, he's good enough to step the FB in that situation.

Also if Mamo took that chip bomb in attack we would have scored, and it was good to see the boys try a few offloads.

Personally I don't mind the Pauli Pauli at second row option, he ran over their smaller defenders a few times and he can be dangerous with his offloads to the outside men.

He's getting pretty close too. Must of played at least 65 today.

Right, how the f**k does Brown let Lamb play that second half limping around? Was so much slower and limited; Hodkinson took the 4th far too often.

237m for Daniel Saifiti; absolute monster. Thought Sione had his best game in some time too. Was nice to see Gagai and Hodkinson dig in and get more involved. They tried a few things that should be and hopefully will be explored more throughout the season.

Disappointing but eh, is what it is.

Pauli Pauli needs to up his fitness and his commitment. If he can do that, he could be anything. Big if, though.

Mataora did it. We wouldn't let him go near the team based on last year.

Hodkison offers us very little. This was him playing for an outside chance of SOO.
I'd fair dinkum go Lamb at 7 with Mullen back.

To be fair to Hodkinson some of his dummies and other plays he runs....there's just no support runner. Kind of hard to sell a dummy when then the rest of the attacking line is 7m behind you.

I think we were definitely better. Obviously a different class of opposition than last week, but still better. Saiifiti was obviously great, I still think Sione will be very good, he had limited opportunities today and still made constant metres. If he was getting the kind of quality ball Mad Dog used to get when the other team was backpeddling and Mullen would throw those cutout passes he'd be very dangerous.

We also blew two tries through Mamo and Randall. Could have nabbed that one for sure.

Brown should let the lads play footy like they did in the last 10 mins.
Encourage offloads, throw the footy around.
A couple nice trick shots between Hodgkinson and Gagai. Where has this been all year?
Saifiti was best on ground. Good to see him throw a couple of neat offloads as well.
Jake Mamo... not sure he'll ever be a first grade standard.

I'd like to see Pauli Pauli continue to work on his fitness and eventually play a Taumalolo like role when Smith retires

If we had won the game you would be saying, we beat the tigers, don't get too excited.

Sure, we were not playing a top quality team. But it was good to see us in the game. Last week we were not there at all, at any point. There were some good signs today at least.

The Safitis are immense though.

Oh yes, talent wise he is middle of the pack at best...

The thing i find endearing about him is that he seems to care more than anyone else on the field, even in a badly beaten side.

He will never make a rep team, but he will be a great clubman for us. (he reminds me of Kidley before K decided he was the new messiah)

Of course our players looked to have improved. Its easier for them to play better when the quality of opposition isnt as good. Its easier for our forwards to make bigger metres against a team that has the second worst defence as opposed to one of the best defensive teams.

The worst NSW cup team would look 'improved' if you put them up against a bush football team.

There is nothing to be happy with losing to the tigers im afraid. Its funny that you guys are now happy to just not be touched up. Guess thats the new normal these days.

Not a glass half empty guy, its just the reality of it.
