Hopefully this Schnider kid is good cause I dont see NRL in Mahoneys future. Inexperienced sure but I dont see it in him.

60 tackles for the second week in a row. 97m from 6 dummy half runs. Decent service and the most kick metres for Wenty (stats from stats amazing on nswrl.com) and only Evans in the pack with recent first grade experience. I thought he was pretty good (my man of the match) given the circumstances that he was given.

He's had better attacking games for sure, but I think when you have Arana Taumata and Piki Rogers in the halves it's a big ask from a 20 year old dummy half.

If he's good enough for the Roosters' pack he's good enough for ours. He just needs to stay uninjured long enough to get some fitness.

Evans isn't good enough for the Roosters you fool.
That's why he's been shunted from them.

The Roosters keep who they want..

Evans is Fijian....I'm constantly being told that only white people can be racist, so what gives?

Melanesia vs Polynesia ?

Yeah I don’t get it. Rappers call each other n***** all the time.

It's a crazy world we live in...

I was being facetious but maybe the wrong place for it.

Long story short a guy I know has started a political party based almost solely on Tumblr-activist policies, and shit like "black people can't be racist" is a common theme on my social media feeds.

Does BA seriously think Salmon is a genuine centre?

What I saw he got bugger all ball and with a team with Rogers and Tomato on the halves that's pretty dumb... Teach him and Mahoney to lead the Wenty team around not have 2nd rate halves do it...

Salmon's future is in the centres/backrow...IMO and in several others on here.

If he was shunted we must have gotten him cheap then. Players with no other offers don't cost much.
The Roosters keep who they want..
Like SBW and James Maloney? Evans played more games for the Chooks than Williams and almost as many as Maloney. They mustn't have wanted to keep those guys either.

Agree but he is playing in a Wenty team with the worst halves in the competition.
It would be better for his development to be closer to the ball at this stage of his career instead on catching a cold out wide..

Only
Stone
Kafusi
Mahoney
Salmon

In that Wenty side will possibly play 1st grade in the future at the Eels..

It's disappointing even more when we don't have anyone in the 2nd side playing well enough to take our mind away from the shitty first grade side...

SBW wanted to go to Onion again... They got him to come across win premiership and he left did his job.

Same as Maloney did they really want to keep him? It seems he doesn't like to stick around past his used by date at clubs..

Mahoney has certainly bulked up a bit, never thought he would be big enough to make it in the NRL but looking at him yesterday he wouldn't be the smallest hooker in the NRL if he makes it

Without any disrespect, Bit hard not to rack up tackles with the lack of possession we had and the amount of ball the opposition had.
Yeah his stats might add up but i watched the game very closely. He fell of tackles and other attempts were worst than Cartright from the titans. There were times it looked like he was playing touch footy and lack of effort with the try conceded he could of done better.
His service wasnt great, Crisp service. Dont get me wrong at times it was good. But lacks consistancey, Considering he plays this position week in week out it needs to be better.
For mine his selfish also. He runs to often and doesnt play structure well. He gets white linefever.

Again this is only my opinion. But for mine i would want a more consistant hooker playing Nrl.
Mahoney offers nothing different to King or Pritchard.

I would also say he might have been one of the better players this week for Wenty but that wouldnt be hard with the performances yesterday.
Kaufusi can hold his head high as i thought he was good. Scored a great try showing some strength.

As for Schneider he is way off anything yet. Yes he shows promise but we wont know till he gets his opportunity at Nsw cup level to see if he progresses to Nrl. Which is still a few years off yet being only 18yo.
As for Mahoney Wnty need better players around him, Might be a different story if your forwards are laying a good platform for him.
Id like to see Mahoney work more on his service and stick to structure more. Still young 20years old So still has time to put a polish on his skills and game play..
Im not knocking his efforts, As they have been outstanding. He never gives up and doesnt stop trying. Great attitude to have.

Again only my opinion. Cheers

Great read my question is if we a fan can see this why is it not being addressed?

Do we not have the coaching staff in place to assist with halves & hookers???

To be honest i dont think we do.
You only need to look at our structure in 1st grade and lack of creativity in plays for our hookers to suggest there is no coaching or set plays for our hookers. Its like all they want them to do is tackle, pass and run. Thats it.!

Unless anyone else on here knows any different.?

Yeh, but it's pretty different if two black blokes call each other the 'n' word. In many cases, it's a statement of brotherhood.

Evans is a (relatively) fair skinned ranga. But who the f**k knows what he's alleged to have said, and whether he actually said it.

Tackles means he's more tired and makes it harder to attack. If the team holds onto the ball and he makes even half of those tackles he can put more effort into attack.

Absolutely he's selfish, runs the ball close to the line when he needs to get it out of the ruck.

He's 20, and wasn't meant to even be in the development spots and was told 2 weeks prior that he was set to do a full NRL pre-season.

There's not enough time during the season to work on skills. Mainly during the week is video sessions, injury prevention, keeping fitness at a certain level. Pre-season is where skills are worked on because you don't have to worry about a game coming up and players can do extras because their body wasn't bashed around for 80 minutes only 2 days before.

But why wasn't he in the dev squad we have Cam King and Pritchard in front of him & likely not to keep Cam King...
