Sam Gormon very underrated. Always gives everything. One of my favourite players. A bit like Damien Cook. Took ages for someone to realise his ability. Sadly such things rarely happen at The Eels. Good luck "bluey".
Heart of a lion.
Says who other than BA and Gus's Bestie. Absolutely in my book he is picked in front of Kaysa and Will Smith every day of the week.Agree. But didn't have the talent. So lets be honest. Who cares.

I'd rather be dead then think I am that important
Cracking song Twiz. You seen them live???you want more ?
Cracking song Twiz. You seen them live???
Yep seen them both, gotta love Maynard.Saw them once and A Perfect Cirle. Both great live. And intense
Everyone knew he could run the ball. It just took him this long to improve his defence in the middle to NRL standard, and he never had the skills for the halves.Sam Gormon very underrated. Woah he doesn't deserve that ! Who are you the executioner ?
Remember your quote from last week ?
Pot. Kettle. Black.
He doesn't really have the talent or size to play NRL. Probably why he's signed another contract with a reserve grade team. If he was 10cm taller and 15kgs heavier he'd be a fantastic lock.
I disagree. We're all failed footballers too. Why should we care about one more on the pile?No doubt about it. All the same, he was a good club man and didn’t deserve the “who cares” comment.

f**k you, merkin. I never failed. Never tried either. I reckon that's the secret.I disagree. We're all failed footballers too. Why should we care about one more on the pile?
Surely he's at least half right. Will Smith is someone you design drinking games around.I’m glad you’re not the coach then.
Smith has been picked in first grade by three different NRL coaches. He was a backup for them and he's a backup for us.Surely he's at least half right. Will Smith is someone you design drinking games around.
Do you think that at heart most of us are optimists? Or at least, if given two 'Smith has been picked in first grade by three different NRL coaches. He was a backup for them and he's a backup for us.
That's exactly what I'm getting at. Are coaches, even NRL ones, making the same errors the rest of us are? He's very talented but prone to f**k ups.Of course. But some of us see potential as only a positive and 'double dip' when considering it as a factor to be considered. By this I mean some fans might consider an unproven rookie to be equal to a proven NRL backup, and then prefer the rookie over the backup since his potential makes him a better choice.
But his potential only makes him a theoretically equal choice, and he in fact also has the potential to be a worse player than the proven backup. Given historical trends (the number of promising youngsters who didn't even turn into quality backups) this is actually more likely.
Will Smith has played almost fifty games in the NRL, including four finals matches. He only turns 27 next year, so is at his peak. He is a far better choice to be picked in the NRL than just about anyone who's never played first grade.
