Thanks, mate.No entry fee. They had a BBQ going, I saw some with bacon and sausage sammiches
I have high hopes for Loizou. An imposing looking character. Rodwell was massive last week. Has to get an NRL jersey if he continues that form. Emu is a favourite. Could be anything. Eli Zak, I have high hopes for. Zini is promising. Perham as a 5/8 could be a beauty. Hands looked smart in limited minutes. Im excited to see how JA goes at 7 with Captain Rankin out the back. The makings of a terrific team. Hopefully we have a plan to keep the coach as well.Looking at our NSW cup squad I do not see much as far as future NRL stars. Perhaps a few guys there who might be average NRL players. Of course also a few unknowns.
I'd imagine the next crop of stars are hiding in jersey flegg at the starting point of the year.
Morretti, Hands,JA,Rodwell,Loizou,Taeteo, Greig are the ones id be most interested in seeing how they progress. Lot of unknown.
From research I've done the Jersey Flegg has quite a few promising kids.
There's plenty with NRL potential but the only kids with star potential have already played NRL this year:
Drown
Penisini
Russell
As for Flegg, it's under 21s now. Future NRL players should be in reserve grade by that age. Remember Drown was eligible for Flegg last year and the Rouse Hill Four are still eligible next year. There might be some 18-19 year olds in Flegg with NRL potential, plus maybe some older forwards.
You said the same last year.Looking at our NSW cup squad I do not see much as far as future NRL stars.
To be fair, they did re-sign him less than 12 months ago. Maybe they still rate his potential but he is struggling to put on weight?By round 8 I think we will see who might be rated moving forward. On Hollis the reason could be as simple as they'd rather give him 50mins a week at Jersey Flegg then 30 in NSW cup. But if he hasn't forced his way into long stint in NSW cup by the end of the season I would start to think his time might be up. Id expect him to be getting 40mins each week in NSW CUP by the last third of the season.
You said the same last year.
Half his luck ffs!!To be fair, they did re-sign him less than 12 months ago. Maybe they still rate his potential but he is struggling to put on weight?
I shaved off my Covid beard ages ago but haven't been able to lose the Covid guts.

Nothing a tapeworm couldn't fix.You have a stomach full of sugar
Like I said perhaps they feel best he gets minutes over tough footy. They may have a plan and also want to fit guys like Ogden and Greig into Nsw cup.
I'd be changing my tune if he is not playing NSW cup mid season and large minutes by the end. You'd hope he starts to leap frog players.
Agreed, I’ve never seen the big wrap on the guy. Might have a big motor but it never seems to go anywhere. His leg speed has never been great anytime I've seen him play. Looks like a slower version of Ben Smith, playing in the middle.
But hes been top 30, 2 years running. Sounds like hes a great trainer. Fingers crossed this is his year.Agreed, I’ve never seen the big wrap on the guy. Might have a big motor but it never seems to go anywhere.
It’s all about Da Training!!!But hes been top 30, 2 years running. Sounds like hes a great trainer. Fingers crossed this is his year.
