At no time has Talagi looked comfortable at fullback. Why are we forcing this positional change?

Smashing his confidence at this age is a bad idea.
Talagi is genuinely horrid at fullback. You can see talent. But what's his position? He looks clueless try to catch a bomb.
Game 1 of 2024 with an 18 year old who is one of the best prospects since Hayne.

So you think he should be playing Flegg today or outside the spine ?

I think he should be playing centre, which is where I understand he normally plays?

I think it’s worth giving Talagi an extended run at 1. No doubt he looks uncomfortable now but I think his skills and running game are suited to that of a 1.

If anything it’s an oversight from our development that he wasn’t in the position the last few seasons.

The way he moves and offloads it reminds me of Joey Manu, and yes I know he’s a centre but is an international fullback and a fullback at just about any other NRL club.

If he was playing NRL he would be one of our more talented players. Neither of us are questioning that he looks good. In the trial he also looked clueless at fullback. Bad positioning, clueless under the high ball. He is obviously highly talented and skilled. What's his position? Has he ever played Fullback? Perhaps they think in a year or two he can develop into one. Right now I think by mid season he could be in the NRL playing centre
