Some really good signs from a lot of the young guys coming through.

To be honest we got a lot closer than I thought we would pre-game.

A few decent young blokes in there that will only get better with more games against men.

He can run the ball. He just doesn't do enough of it.

He should be put in centres. He could do a job. His attack would be decent if can defend ok.. He won't ever make it as a ball player. To erratic.

High scoring match, and with reserve grade defence levels in the halves and outside backs to be expected. Only Doorey being played for 80mins among the forwards, and one bench player (mystery dude?) not getting any minutes.

We finished just behind the Bulldogs on the table last year, and just behind them again today. But some promising signs, forwards did well enough, and the halves and most of the backs will come along.

Probably mid-table again this season?

There’s a reason Dejean Asi is playing cup, his strength is attack and has little or no defence. That intercept he threw basically turned the game. If the team Is to progress, it’s worth playing Talagi at 5/6 and playing someone else at 1., and Asi can’t count numbers as he always seems the wrong side needed in defence. Certainly looked the case here at the ground.
Still no player with real pace in the 2 to 5 to make a difference, similar to first grade.

He looks like he could even improve our NRL side at centre this season. If long term fullback is the plan he looks a few years away

I think he's a bit light to play outside the spine.

His defence isn't good enough for centre. Literally the only thing he is good at is carrying the ball, where he is NRL quality.

I keep telling people that he's a very talented kid.

Quick between the ears, and had great skill.

Main thing is he needs to grow into his body.

But Matt Arthur is one for the future
