@Gazzamatta I don’t think we could say with certainty that it’s all due to BA leaving although probably a factor. Talented young players developing and responding to Caylo’s coaching is just as much the answer imo.

Always been a massive difference for 19 year old forwards to step up, but then again, you know best.

Ryley Smith is 21 not 19, so yes maybe I do know best. I can even Google a player’s age all the way from Perth ffs

Matt Arthur is 19 and hasn’t played a single game below reserve grade this year. That’s what potential looks like. Not playing Flegg at 21.

Of course you would deathride Liam Martin who played lower grades until he was 22 , it’s a tough gig and that needs to acknowledged, not your usual over the top ridicule which is probably to get a response than actually believing it.

Playing reserve grade in their early 20s is fine. It’s normal trajectory for an NRL forward. Very few of them were still playing age limited competition at 21.
