If WIN pulls out, and SX takes over, how do we know there is any loss without knowing the actual numbers involved?

I think you have misinterpreted R2k's message.
The $ are a big loss ( meaning if we lose naming rights), its a loss.
Not that the rights bring a loss.

If thats what you meant.

R2k can verify, but thats the way I read it.

Sorry, you've lost me.
I can be slow on the uptake at times.
What am I missing?

My mistake, i thought you understood R2k's message with reference to loss.
That is its not a financially viable proposition.

I now understand what you mean, i.e if one sponsor replaces the other, with equal or greater value, then there is no loss. Correct?
If so, your point is pertinent.

Yes correct.
I thought there was some higher maths or financial trickery involved that I wasn't latching on to for a sec.

Until we know the figures, there's no way of knowing if the naming rights dollars have been reduced, increased or remained the same. If there's a lag time between WIN and SX deal, then there's potential for a loss there - but again, it depends in the detail of the deal.

In any case, R2K answered the question about where the money goes. It essentially ensures that the home ground is maintained. And without a doubt, Kogarah's naming rights are tied in with other sponsorship deals as the crossover there is quite evident.

So to say we get nothing from this is way off the mark.

Correct, bottom line is, its a tangible asset, which apart from being income producing, the fund is held solely for the benefit of Jubilee oval.
