I think the fine is sufficient, and maybe get someone at the club to pull him aside and explain to him that he has to be extra careful with social media and the internet and how he presents himself to the public now that he is an NRL 'Star'.

If i was running a sporting organisation I would expect professionalism on and off the field so 2-4 match I see no big deal with it, at the end of the day this guy is representing your club, your image......I believe you have to be a prick to succeed in footy and teach players valuable lessons young so they are not repeated. This could have ended tragically i think we need to keep in mind.

Of course you expect professionalism, and in fact earlier in the thread I said Konrad could possibly be the most unprofessional player in the comp.

However, you're dealing with young men at a football club - not bank clerks. Whilst in an ideal world they would all be perfect, dutiful citizens it's not realistic. So when Konrad f**ks up in this regard, when he hasn't got any priors in terms of using social media or driving dangerously, $5k and the public embarrassment (if any) is enough for me, and clearly the NRL as well.

And that 'could have ended tragically' is laughable. By that token, are we going to ban every player caught doing 10-20km over the speed limit for 2-4 games?

I see the NZ papers brought out the league players behaving badly top 6 to justify Hurrell's act.

The real point should be made those players and clubs normally dont do well in the comp, it reflects a club culture in crisis.
Head in the sand culture, sacking coaches culture, never the players fault culture.
I thought the warriors were better than that, i was wrong.

Is he driving though? The seatbelt is on the wrong side for him to be driving and they do drive on the right hand side in NZ?

Does everyone just gloss over this????

Strippers and hookers are consenting, lets get some of them involved in the women in league round .

Two adults can do what ever they want together but if you play in the NRL don't film it and then have it go viral or whatever. There are a lot of people(especially women) who will find this disgusting, you are pretty stupid if you cant see why this is a bad look imo.

Stripper and Hookers and I'm stupid??

Don't get roped into the agenda-driven anti-NRL folk who want to make this incident an intictment on the Women in League round. Yes it is a bad look but it really has sweet all foundation to be able to correlate this to what Women in League is all about.

I was just responding to the idea that no one should be offended by the sex tape because the woman was ok with it, I find that stupid.

Plenty of people are offended by porn. Or try sitting in your car getting a gobby while a cop walks past and see what happens, im sure you would get in trouble.

Have the police charged him in any way?
Where will the self-appointed "Keepers of the Realm" NRL stop? Next they will be fining players for jay-walking, as it is against the law, perhaps working on the Sabbath? Next time a player has an argument with his mother, the NRL will fine him for breaking the commandment "Honour thy mother and thy father."

The real winner out of all this is the actress.
Nobody knew who she was before but now everybody knows her name and face.

No such thing as bad publicity.

Righto. I look forward to having players rubbed out for 2-4 weeks for speeding under your new regime. You might want to hire a PA to scrub things up typing-wise though.

Anyway..so yeah I never clicked that Kon seems to be in the passenger seat. What's doing?
