I agree with black friday, but get rid of those shitty rock bands like nickleback and hoobastank while your at it, as well as new rock bands like jet, the vines hives and white stripes.

Agreed!!! I dont mind the Hives and if you cancel out Jet's army of teeny bopper fans they aren't too bad.

The Casanovas, The Datsuns, Maeder and The Volts are where its at 8)

two types of music should be outlawed:

emo and nu-metal.

i wouldnt call any of korn tracks 'hits'

Real emo bands are actually alright eg Fugazi, Rites of Spring, Mohinder, Indian Summer etc.

Its just the crappy emo pop bands around today that give emo a bad name eg dashboard confessional, taking back sunday, story of the year etc.

This is sad.. Bands usually do this when they are at the end of their career

Not really, Greenday released a greatest hits album a couple of years ago and their still around.

Mainstream bands usually release a greatest hits after 10 years.

Green Day have been around longer than ten years. I reckon its safe to say they are the longest running punk band in recent memory.

Greendays first album they released was in 1991 and the greatest hits album was released in 2001 . Sure most bands are usually around way longer than 10 years before a greatest hits album (aside from crappy pop artists and good charllote), but i'm going by when a bands first album is released.

If your talking about mainstream punk bands then yes greenday have probarly been around the longest but they dont compare to bands on independent labels like nofx, bad religion, decendents who have been around since the early eightees and are still kicking along today.
