I am more than willing to give the 7 to robson and I think Pete sums it up the best. If KK ends up there, then he must be in scintilating form to take the 7 away from robbo.

Eele, how come everytime I felt when Robson kicked it went to the fullback ala finch.

Hayne found spaces and Mortz was getting better towards the end, but I think Robbo found the fb more than he found grass

I don't know. But I took particular care of watching his games against the Titans and Broncos and in both games his kicking game was pretty good. Certainly no worse than his counterparts, being Prince and Lockyer.

But I do agree that Kris Keating is a phenomenal little player and if he wrestles the halfback position from Jeff, it can only be good.

I'm just trying to illustrate that yes, Jeff Robson isn't the world's most skillful halfback. But he's doing a good job doing what he does, and he does actually have a bit of skill. Let us also not forget that although he is mature in age, he is still a rookie in NRL First Grade games standards...

As much as I prefer a different style of halfback, I watched him in the interview after the dogs game and I too wish him all the best to succeed. He has worked hard enough.

Why the comparison of Robson and Sterlo? Why not compare Keating and Sterlo, I'm sure Keating will hardly do any better than Robson there. And Hindmarsh is the same kind of player as Price. The 80s had Kenny and Sterlo as the 'visionarys'. We have Mortimer, and even without Robson we still have Mateo.

I'll put my hand up to being all three - but as I said I am not a f**king idiot. I find it offensive to be called an idiot by people who don't agree with my point of view on a Internet forum.
I don't resort to those name calling tactics, and I don't expect them to be levelled at me.
Call me what you like, Call me a merkin, call me a know all bastard ---- but IDIOT is not one that fits my description.

I like Robson, but if Keating plays just above average, and his defence is not a complete liability, I can see him replacing Robson by Round 10. If Mortimer and Hayne provide enough of the try assists and strategic kicking, Robson might play most of the season with Keating as the impact player.

Keating is easily the more talkented player of the two, though I have lots of respect for Robson.

PS - YY - lets win a GF before comparing the 2010 Eels to the 1983 Eels....

it's not bad at all if you watch the replays of him playing. has a great technique, gets low in tackles. However, his goal line defense is lacking.
I'd say he defends better than Mortimer.
