Mann did nothing wrong last night, he’s not the recognised kicker and he is filling a position left vacant due to injury,at least Mann is a good defender and misses lead tackles than Widdop
Mann had a cracking game against the broncos last week
And now we have to listen to bullshit dribbling out of some mouths,it shits me no no end to listen to the ridicule some players cop from the people on this forum
Where’s the ridicule for dufty he missed a grubber kick then got caught in goal and lam having the ball stolen,blind Freddy could see he would lose the ball with that carry
So stop being dog merkins and admit there were several things that could have been done better in the second half instead of blaming one person

We had one kicker, Hunt. This made it easy for the souths defence. We should have had a second kicker but there was obviously instructions about who could kick. I also dont think changing your halves with 9 minutes to go is sensible and when you do this you increase the probability that plays will breakdown.

The McInnes penalty and LAM losing the ball were the turning points in my opinion. The LAM lose really pisses me off because Cameron Murray had the ball stolen by Frizzell and then in the two previous tackles tried to strip it. It was obvious he was going to try again and yet LAM didnt secure the ball.

But after saying this what a courageous performance and if a couple of calls went differently they could have won even with the injury toll. Kurt Mann played great as 5/8 for 79 minutes 30 seconds and then was involved in a play that went wrong. He should be judged on his whole game not one small part.

Perhaps the coaching staff should have had McInnes kicking now and again.

This discussion wasn't about the field goal. It was about the last play option.

Sure, I can imagine you would train for last play options in tight games, but you also have to allow the players to play what's in front of them. That's exactly what they did, but execution didn't come off. It's not what cost us the game. It could have emphatically won us the game - but it didn't. And again, it's all in hindsight.
