Before you judge, can i just say that driving to work in the morning, you need to listen to something and there are only so many CD's you can listen to.

plus you want to hear about traffic.


what is everyones take on what happened last week with the rape victim.

here are a few possible scenarios;

1. it was a setup by the kyle and jackie o show which backfired badly.
2. it was a setup by other radio stations wanting them to go down due ridculously high ratings the show gets
3. it was an accident which, if known about, would never had happened.
4. its a ploy by the radio gods because of all this new advertisers shiit that they want to implement.

i can't think of any other ones atm.

i for one am a bit upset they are not on.
i have been listening to merrick and rosso (and that home and away chick fmd) for the last couple of mornings and can i just say how bad that show sucks.

first of all, merrick is the only one that provides any sort of entertainment and comedy. the home and away chick is just... bad.rosso aint that great either.

the things they come up with are actually quite dumb, yesterday and today they were talking about what transformer they would want to be.

i felt a bit embarressed for them.


apart from that, i haven't really listened to any other stations as i don't listen much.

i listen to K'Sera and The Dirty Dozen (96.1), mostly on thursday nights.
the morning crew on 96.1 are pretty average.

tripple m i havent listened to in a while, i don't even think i have it set in my memory anymore.

in the afternoons, you can't beat hamish and andy. as simple as that.


i also wanted to know what does everyone listen to when driving to work in the mornings, even AM stations.

Have never listened to it, so can't really comment on the show.

As for the incident, I reckon it's a combination of your sceanrio 3 (before the event), and scenario 4 (after the event with all the spin).

What do I listen to? CDs. Sometimes Richard Glover on ABC of an afternoon if I feel like some news/topical stuff, and he has a good (if mature) sense of humour anyway.

Not a big fan off morning radio in general, alot of it is quite ordinary. I dislike the kyle and jackie o show the most mainly cause i despise so many of their segments. FMD did anyone else catch that Home or Away segment couple of weeks ago, where the two chicks were apparently "crying" and "torn up" at not being able to meet each other. Could that have been any more staged? That was the most painful radio i have ever succumbed myself to. Following that day i vowed to never listen to their show, so i missed the whole rape saga.

How can you find Kate Ritchie so boring yet Jackie O entertaining??

Jackie has about as much personality as a cardboard box.

I normally flick back and forth between the Big Sports Breakfast, ABC and Alan Jones (although AJ is only for the unintended humour of his "moral outrage" at everything)

but at least jackieo provides something, she has those segments where she talks about hollywood actors doing stupid shiit.

kate richie is bad.
she doesn't provide anything, i have only listened to it for two days, so i can only judge by what i have heard.

The only radio I listen to is my Mrs' alarm clock, which is set to Nova. Now, you must realise that when that thing goes off I'm already pretty cheesed off for being woken... but I generally find the music more irritating than Kate Ritchie. I reckon she's usually fairly funny, in an innocent kind of way. Plus she married a Saints player, so she's obviously a wonderful human being. Love her video work as well.

Kyle & Jackie O... occasionally catch their crap in rare dispatches of a few seconds at a time. Thankfully I might have a more comfortable time avoiding them in future when they're taken off the air

I don't go to work and I don't listen to the radio. Have never and will never listen to Kyle and Jackie O.

Occasionally I drive my g/f to work and hear a bit of Merrick and Rosso. Not bad, not great.
