Seriously? Early in the season he said the same about Ilias and now he's backing Kyle.

It seems like he specifically backs the guy who has lost a few games in a row and everyone else can see needs a spell.

I can understand a captain supporting his players but read the room mate.

A captain (and coach) should also know when is the right time to make a change and reward good performance.

Ilias had done what was asked if him and went back to Reggie's and worked on his game and won 7 straight.

Kyle is just not working in the 7 and with a really tough run coming up now is the time to pull the trigger.

Cooky and Flano need see what the rest of us can make the change.

What burns me is that apparently, for years, the whole Illawarra has no halves that our club can train, retain and turn into first graders. Not even average ones. There is something fundamentally wrong.

Sullivan, Ammone, and Sloan were the 3 amigos that the club placed faith in. But as usual, none have really turned out to be top, reliable first-grade players for the Dragons.

The way people carry on about Wishart as though he’s the next great halfback is hilarious. He’s a 14 playing in the well oiled Storm machine. His games in the halves have been extremely unimpressive. Not much to get upset about there if we’re lamenting “lost halfbacks”.

Just shows how week our club are with coach flanno signing his son on a extension for 2 more years after just 1 year in on a 2 year deal now the board needs to be accountable for agreeing to the extension DUMB and desperate .

Whoever signed Ilias, was the biggest mistake, the parasites are out for blood. His manager will do anything to bring this club to it's knees, the Illawarra BOD does a fantastic job at that. Lachlan Ilias cost the Dragons 6 premierships points, Parramatta, Souths and Warriors. Lachlan isn't the answer, Kyle gets my pick everyday of the week.

If the current media campaign about Shane and his nepotism towards son Kyle continues I see him walking away at seasons end alloying Craig Young and Doust to fulfill their master plan to get Dean Young appointed head coach…. Their patience and manipulation will have come to fruition.

Its a bit like that, and im so glad we got the win yesterday to atleast give us a bit of a break from the nonstop drivel... cause there is no doubt we are going to lose more than we win from here on out, brutal draw from here...could be really dark stuff.. esp without Toby and co on top of the others.. gonna be a tough slog from here.

Im almost positive Kyle wont be in our halves next year, its a 2025 problem, but because Flanno hasnt come out and articulated that, fans and media are just assuming Kyle is in the halves forever.

Exactly this. There are many media commentators of dubious quality pretending to be experts of the game nowadays. Daily scrutiny for headlines and attention struggling to be relevant. No wonder most players ignore social media.Thank God I'm a nobody!
