For those who weren't watching, Barca won 4-3. They were down 2-3 early in the second half after a Ronaldo penalty. A red card to Sergio Ramos left Real with 10 men, and then 2 penalties to Messi in the space of 20 mins gave Barca the win at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Probably the best Clasico in years. Had it all. The dodgy calls or dives would've balanced out had Ramos not been sent.

Game on now: Atleti 70, Madrid 70, Barca 69. Madrid's doubly stuffed because they have an inferior H2H against both (which is the tiebreaker method in Spain). Barca will host Atleti in the last round.

(On an aside; you see Madrid's first two goals and wonder just how Man C managed one (consolation) goal against Barca's defense.)

It was a fantastic game especially the first half but when the ref awarded 2 penalties and a red card it f**ked the game up for everyone.

A good result for Atletico.

But so much bloody diving. Even worse than England.

Football authorities need to do so much more in this area.

Retroactive bans have to be brought in.

Liga - Ronaldo: Madrid always play against 12 men
Cristiano Ronaldo has said referees act against Real Madrid following Barcelona’s 4-3 win in El Clasico.

Barca were awarded two penalties - to Madrid’s one - while Sergio Ramos was shown a straight red card after brining down Neymar for the first spot kick.
Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, Ronaldo, who converted Madrid’s penalty, laid the blame for the result at the feet of referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco.
“We played against 12. It's always the same. They don't allow us. Maybe they wanted Barca back in the League,” the forward said.
“I don't want to leave this inside of me and I’m not looking for excuses, but the ref is not at the required level for a game like this.
“If Barca lost today they would have been out. After five years here, I understand how things work.
“[The media] has been here for many years more than me. I have never seen Real Madrid favoured by the referees.
“I'm sure that no matter all this, we will win the League.”

Neymar's was the only genuine dive.

Ronaldo's was a very minimal clip but I'm prepared to give him the BOTD. Problem was, it was half a yard outside the box and shouldn't have been a pen.

Iniesta's was a clearcut pen.

What needs changing, and not just because of this match, is the double whammy of a penalty AND a red card for the last man. I'd like to see a rule change such that if the penalty is converted, that offending player stays on the field.

That's never going to happen though.

As an aside, Neymar & Bale were 180 million Euros of bog average in that game.

Suarez is about as good as both combined and would have come at half price!

Who knows how much they actually paid but the latest reports are Neymar cost Barca over 80 mil. Madness. Serious waste of money and that's before you get to all the drama surrounding the transfer they're suffering atm.

It's one of those hind-site situations. I know that I'd much rather have Villa in the team than Neymar.
