The bitter fallout between Tim Sheens and the Wests Tigers is about to get serious with the sacked head coach ready to launch legal action to recoup up to $1 million. There is a growing belief Melbourne Storm assistant Kevin Walters will be given the position to guide theTigers*in 2013.With Sheens's commitments with the*Kangaroos*now over, he will snub any offer to stay on in a "senior role" because he has no desire to help the club that's thrown him on the coaching scrap heap.

Just pay the c**k and move on, this on going drama is doing the club no good what so ever, if the prick takes the club to court it will cost even more money.

Sheens brought all this crap on himself,he wasted 6 seasons trying to manufacture a halfback,he was the one who used 9 halves this year with only 1 injury.
He also moved 3 or 4 players to cover one spot, had Robbie at half and Benji at half for most of the year, what does he expect,he has been dicking around with the team for years and the club finally had enough.
To bad I say Tim,you created this mess, you reap what you sow.

If was half as good as he thinks he is he wouldnt be on any such scrap heap. The fact no one wants him is a good indication that most clubs are aware he is a myth.

What a scum.
Club has put up with him for a decade for 3 finals and then wants to drag it through the courts.

He gave his word that he would step down if he didn't make the finals. He doesn't deserve a cent regardless on what the courts think.
Just give him his money because now his word isn't worth shit. Dog.

Really, it's the club's fault for re-signing him to the most recent contract. Could have gotten rid of him for free a year ago.

I see this one of two ways:-

1. He said he would leave if we had a dud season. If this is true the club shouldn't pay him a cent and should make it clear to him that he needs to stick to his word.
2. He didn't state he would leave and we offer him a fair payout and piss him off.

Unfortunately he has WT over a barrel, a contract is a contract and he is sticking to its terms. That WT CEO and board did not demand KPI's linked ot it and also formalise that 'walk away' statement by Teflon only serves them right. That we are now getting bargain basement replacement is our own fault. THe idiots that negotiated the contract in the first place should be forced to walk too.

I agree pay him out and P** him off asap. Even if we have to get a loan to do it.

BTW- have people been taking note of Sheens comments lately? The bloke is in total denial he didnt perform. He has blamed the power of players and their making comments (Marshall especially apparently) etc when a clean out was underway. Not once has he mentioned his performance as coach and the mule headed stubbborness of those actions we all know and got infuriated with when he did them to the team.

We should never have extended him last year. He is too old to be an effective coach anymore. The younger turks have overtaken the olduns now. He should have retired last year to something outside the coaching ranks. The all too comfortable regime of Sheens, Marshall and Humphreys has blown up in their faces. It will take more than a season or two to recover from this mess. Humphreys has to go and Marshall should be put on notice too. There is more to come. The fallout wont stop with Sheens head.

End of the day if he was still here the club would have been paying out that 1m so why havnt they got the money ? ... at this stage Walters could cost us 200k so thats the actual figure we would be down by over the next year.

The reason why the new CEO didn't insist on KPIs is because the last CEO to try that on got the arse. Full responsibility lies with the board for not backing the previous CEO. You can't blame Humphreys for wanting to keep his new job any more than you can blame Sheens and Marshall wanting to keep their cushy unexamined roles.

I'm sort of glad he has taken this path.
His name is mud and we won't be seeing him in the nrl again. Even super league are showing no interest.
He wants his last paycheck before he hits the dole.

Sheens is a leech, he sucks away and when you finally become anemic and try to brush him off, he sucks a little more.

Really this just shows how much of a dud Humpty Dumpty really is. Re-signs Sheens on big money despite having 3 finals appearances in 9 seasons, with no clauses in the contract. When he realises after 1 year it was a dud deal, he tries to get rid of him without paying a cent. If Sheens does pursue legal action and is successful, Humpty Dumpty should be shown the door as well. I dislike Sheens, but if he does seek what he feels he is owed, I won't hold it against him. Blame the clown who paid ridiculous overs for him in the first place.

All major appointments are decisions made at and approved by the WT Board.

The CEO has a role to play but there are much bigger fish to fry. The board is, apart from one member from either side, made up of hangers on and people involved in destroying the two Foundation Clubs they represent.

Elias was the driving force that brought Sheens to the club.

Given his business accumen, I wouldn't be surprised if he was also behind the ploy to arsehole him.

Benny has no involvement with the running of the WT, all he has is Balmain Leagues bent over, stripped bare and his fist rammed tightly up its clacker to his shoulder.

Why dont we do what the govt does with has beens who are to expensive to pay out. Keep him on as head coach, but only figuratively. Walters as asst does it all and Tim sits in the corner running the racing odds on his own. Then you humiliate him as much as possible until he either quits or stays a bitter old prick for the rest of his life.
