Latrell is not a fullback

Freckle faced ginger would be my bet.
100%. Probably also blasts Briggs/ A.B Original/ Ziggyrama on high rotation and thinks their opinions are entirely factual rather than an obvious grift pandering to their (mostly white), urbanite, Triple J listening audience...

Rocks and diamonds tonight.

They are missing Wighton and Campbell-Graham. Souths play with great shape in the 20, why not park Latrell at centre on a few plays? They have the players to give him space to put points on.

He’s a centre, and a very good one. Much like Inglis was. It’s almost as though Souths think he’s wasted a club level stuffed out on a flank.

For all the criticism of Latrell, the real issue at the moment is that Cody Walker for the past 9 months has had a Steve Smith-like drop in form where his timing has completely left him.

When we made the GF in 2021 literally 50% of our tries came from Walker, with ridiculously timed assists and the like... that's evaporated, and with a vanilla half and a headless chook at 9, it's all on Latrell to create everything. And when it's all on one player it's easy to shut them down.

Yep with walker off the boil and a big average halfback there is no one there to run the attack and steer the ship. Latrell is not an organiser so there is no point asking him to do it and cook is too busy focusing on building any sort of momentum to your sets to take on that role too.

Latrell is at his best when he has about 10-12 runs per game. Most of his greatest games both for easts and Souths tended to involve him injecting himself only when he saw opportunity.

Problem is that level of involvement is not sustainable for a fullback in today’s game. f**king perfect for a roaming centre though.

I call it the Valentine Holmes syndrome.

Thought the path to fame and fortune was at Fullback, but after a couple of seasons, the club quickly realised that he was too error prone, was often caught out of position and struggled in defence.

Shifted him back to the centres, and he is now a world beater.

You could really hear the commentators trying to talk him up against the Broncos, problem was Walsh was showing how a world class Fb should play lol

We desperately need to find a fullback because this is a bloody good 3/4 line.

2. Johnston/Munro
3. Mitchell
4. Wighton
5. Graham

I think they see him as a GI clone. At origin level Inglis was unplayable in the centres, but at club level you needed him at fullback to get more involved. Trell to me is a player who will always fade in and out of games, which doesn’t work at fullback. Holmes is pretty similar to Trell imo.

Can take up our 30th roster spot post Super Rugby season. Should be able to use the Suluka-Fifita money if we used Roosters maths.

Surely Jye Gray gets a run soon too.
